Hi pips! Do you think ₱20,000 budget in Siargao is enough for 9 days?
Hi guys! I hope some can see this post before end of day today because I’m already due to make decision as well within the day and I’m too confused so I’m looking for some advices.
For context, I used to work 7 years as a night shifter professional. Last April, I got laid off so I had to find a new role. I rested for 2 months until I finally landed my 2 offers first week of July.
First offer was for an AU company with a very niche and strict business. Set up was hybrid, 6 times onsite fortnightly. Start date was immediate. The pay was ₱5000 below my asking pay but the manager I spoke to from AU was really sweet and nice.
Second offer was for an US company with technical business (which I used to specialize with). Set up was hybrid but only after 6 months since the client is new. The was just right for my asking. Start date though is somewhere second to third week of Aug. The manager I spoke to was Filipina too and was really nice too.
Anw, in desperate of making decision, I chose the first company. Considering that I am going to learn more by choosing a new niche and some mentioned that it might be nice to try morning shifter too already. Plus the manager I spoke with who will be my manager at work itself seems to be really nice too and I can start immediately which I needed due to financial constraints.
Ff to now, I’m alr 3 weeks with the AU company and I’m feeling like in a bad spot here. People of the client are almost all tenured with them already and it felt so odd not being talked by anyone just because I am new. The manager, she’s still nice but she’s very strict to process which is fine. But, the sudden shift from night shift to morning shift is taking toll on me. I started taking sleeping pills but can’t still sleep well on the right cycle. My English can’t go straight when I speak. Sometimes, when I read documents for review and action, no matter how long I read it or stare at it, I really can’t understand it. I kept making mistakes and couldn’t really keep up the process. Plus the usual process becomes 5x harder here along with very strict compliance and so. It felt like my cognitive skills is continuously declining due to my lack of properly rest from the sudden shift. My senior (same title and role) has been in the company for 4 years almost 5 years already. But she hasn’t moved up to any promotion yet. The company is stable, but growth is slow because it is very niche business.
Last week Monday, I just tapped in to enter the office when I loudly told myself that I might need to find a back up job already because sudden migraines and backaches felt like soon to kill me fast and before that day end, I suddenly received a new offer from a company I applied months ago that became inactive. The pay was ₱20,000 higher plus they allow me to work in my flexible schedule as long as I am able to support the clients at night shift US. Set up is hybrid with no strict requirements of working on site and all other conditions I had was 100% met.
Now, the dilemma is they gave me 40 days to render my resignation (start date at Sept 7) and I have to decide whether I’ll sign now or not. I really want to sign already. And whenever I think about it, it’s not the money I see. It’s the convenience of getting back to my healthy cycle + plus the opportunity to work in another pioneer role for a really large US corporation. But I’m just too shy to ask my current manager that I’d like to resign already.
Am I bad if I choose to resign now? What are your thoughts please.

Hi guys, need your advice or thoughts.
I have been laid off from my previous company 3 months ago and I’m still currently searching for a job til now. The market is honestly too concentrated and I just can’t land an offer yet.
The first 2 months, I did my best to hold on my atome and other CCs. I try to pay it in minimum and for Atome, I applied it in 6 months installment. But since I have no strong cash flow. I still have to use it for food and transport. This month though, since it’s almost 4 months of my unemployment. My savings is already running dry. I only have enough for 3 cutoffs necessity bill (house, electricity, 1 credit card, water, food & transpo). If I pay atome, I would only last 1 and half cut off. My current total bill in atome is almost somewhere ₱60k including interests + the 6 months installment I applied last month.
Now I’m worried. I’m thinking of skipping payments of it for now but I’m afraid. But if I try to pay it, I don’t know if I can still live on by the next days until my first paycheck again.
And no, I can no longer take out loans. I’m almost already maxed in other OLAs and bank loans decline me because I’m unemployed.
My due date is this coming 12 so I’m hoping you can share some advice or thoughts please.
