Help distinguishing Aricia agestis (brown argus) and Polyommatus icarus (common blue). (Ireland)

These photos were taken in Ireland. Butterfly was very small, maybe 1.5 cm high. Scratching my head to tell them apart. Brown argus has not been recorded in Ireland but its range is expanding majorly in Britain so it would not be impossible for it to turn up there.

It appears to have the two spots on the costa and the absense of a black basal spot that would indicate the argus, can any expert help?

Can we just stop and appreciate how good we are all eating this year? Cinemas full, crowds are enthusiastic, and Dunesday is just over the horizon. We are so back.
