For almost a year, I had no idea you could buy them pre-made. My first "Berner" was basically a hot dog cut in the middle, stuffed with a slice of cheddar, and wrapped in bacon. Then it was fried in a pan. They can also be grilled. I have no idea how authentic Austrian it is, but it's one of my favorite foods.
We have a really old Greengage plum tree in our garden. This year it was full of fruit, so many that we gifted our neighbors, friends, and acquaintances and made myself some marmalade/jam. We still have too many. We call them "Hönig Reneklode" because they are sweet and green.

The silver ring I bought myself, and I know the stone is made of glass. But the gold one and the two necklaces I just got were gifts, and as far as I know, they are real jewelry. I want/need to clean them, and I don't know any shop that I can trust to do it for me. What do I need to clean them up myself, without damaging them?
I love a good schnitzel with fries and mayo. And for wings, I have a Thai sweet chili sauce. And fries... no matter where we go to eat, the best ones are homemade by my boyfriend.
The fries and salad were homemade. I bought the minced rolls, and my boyfriend grilled them. I prefer a mix of lamb/sheep and beef.
He prefers them with Ajvar, mustard, red onion rings, and flatbread.
I love burgers, but my absolute favorites are the ones made by my boyfriend. ❤️
Three summers ago, we got around 6-7 kilos of eggplant, grilled them outside on coals (on a wood fire, the taste is better), peeled them, and minced them. We made a small portion that day, and all the extra was preserved for winter (freshly grilled, I only mix with salt and onions to better taste the eggplant). We put them in jars and "cooked" the jars in hot water for around 20 minutes and let them chill, covered in thick towels. We kept all the jars in the basement/cellar. I still have one jar as my "emergency stock."

Today, because it was hot and I had no desire to cook, I took one of those jars out, chopped half an onion, added salt, and a pinch of mayo. The taste was almost as if I had made them today. I spread it on toast because it was the only bread we had at home and cut a couple of tomatoes.

I was a picky eater as a kid; this version is how my mom used to make them, and I never complained. I know some like to add lemon, yogurt instead of mayo, etc. I just wanted a taste of my childhood.

It was dinner for two. We like this restaurant, and every time I try something different from their menu.
I hated it in my childhood. Now I like to make them every so often: stuffed peppers with minced meat, rice, onion, and spices, boiled in tomato puree with a teaspoon of sugar and bay leaves. Served with sour cream.
Happy Birthday to me. For my birthday party, I preordered 3 of these platters. We were a party of 12, and it was too much food 🫣.
She tried to keep me company and watch out for me, but it was too much work.
