Help needed

Hi, I’m from Australia. My father was from a small village in India and his best friend was a priest who moved to Brazil in the 1980’s and who helped my father a lot in his youth.

My father passed away last year and among his possession I found a letter from from Brazil from his friend. I’ve since found out that he too passed away in Brazil in the early 2000s.

I’m coming to Brazil in 2027 and I wanted to visit the church that he was in to pay my respects.

A google search tells me Belo Horizonte is probably the nearest airport to this location.

Can someone identify where this church is based on this photo from the letter?

Thank you so much.

NRIs with ageing parents in India, what worries you the most?

I've been living in Australia for over 15 years and just recently, my parents health has deteriorated to the point where they cannot travel frequently between India and Australia as they used to.

So now I've been dealing with many of the challenges that come with supporting my ageing parents from overseas. It made me realize that the difficult part often isn't money or even healthcare itself....It's actually trying to coordinate everything from overseas.

I'm curious how others are handling this because honestly this is taking up so much of my mind over and above my work and family life.

For those whose parents still live in India:

  1. What is your biggest concern right now with managing health issues?
  2. Have you had any major incidents or close calls?
  3. What has been the most stressful part of managing things from abroad?
  4. What support systems do you currently rely on?
  5. If you could magically solve this problem, what would it be?

For me, one of the hardest things has been not knowing what's happening on the ground and feeling like I'm always reacting to problems rather than preventing them.

Would love to hear other perspectives and experiences.

Farm Leasing - 2 Acres

Hoping someone with leasing of farm experience can help.

We've got about 2 acres of farm in Thrissur with coconut, nutmeg, banana, pepper and fruits trees like jackfruit, rambutan and mangosteen. We're looking to lease the farm out to someone reliable to run the farm and take the harvest.

Having never done this, what's the usual agreement that takes place for such deals? Do they take the whole farm for a fixed yearly rate or do they pay a monthly rent? What sort of things should we be looking out for to ensure it is good for both parties?

Thank you in advance.
