Coprint/klipper mod has me losing my mind. Why is it doing this?

Running the coprint kcm mod on my flashforge adventurer 5m pro, using Orcaslicer and Mainsail/klipper. It’s taken me 3 weeks to configure the default macros so that it behaves similarly to the stock flashforge (preheat nozzle, home all axes, load filament, lower the bed during filament swaps/cancel print/end print) the extruders were reversed, everything has just been one giant mess. And since their return window is only 2 weeks, I’m determined to not give up.

My print stopped mid-print last night, woke up to stringing and random color change where it shouldn’t be. Why is it doing this?

I didn’t realize the amount of coding needed to install the coprint KCM set for my flashforge adventurer 5m pro. I consider myself somewhat tech savvy, I don’t mind tinkering and feel comfortable enough to configure computer settings but I am in no way a person with a coding background.

I’ve installed all the new equipment onto my printer and got as far into the instructions until i get to the Mainsail steps. I have a Mac and when I run the commands on terminal, I keep getting this error:

“mv can’t rename “s50serial” no such file or directory exists.”

And every time I try to update the configs with what I’m assuming is the serial, I keep getting printer head errors and am truly at a loss. The official coprint documentation and instructional videos are very poorly put together and I’m feeling defeated and don’t know where else to find this info.

Also does it matter if/when certain cables are plugged in at any point in this step? The video is a bit confusing.

Currently at work so I don’t have any pics of the errors but if you need any more info from me let me know and I’ll help to the best of my knowledge.
