Tomorrow will be 6 weeks since my father died of cancer. Last two weeks I stayed with my parents so we could take care of him and he didnt have to go to a hospital once more. First weeks after his passing went quite okay-ish, dealing with funeral, administrative things, seeing friends and family, starting to work again. All to stay busy. Now life gets back as it was before (so it seems at least), and now it really starts kicking in what happened, what he had to go through, what I will need to miss for the rest of my life. Its a horrible feeling that is only getting worse now.

Did you ever "use" a proposal from another company to get a raise at your current employer?
Not in that situation atm, but I saw a vacancy that is interesting. Might give it a chance just to know if my current salary is low/ok/high.
Curious about your experiences!
This week I got the message I can choose a new company car. We are free to choose within a certain budget. I want the Tesla Model 3, standard version is 100 euro below my budget, the premium version, 30 euros above my budget.
We recently received a new 100k a year project at which I might contribute. Should I negotiate for the premium version or else not contribute to the project? They could do without me, but would make things more difficult. Any tips on how to deal with it?
Currently earning around 2.9K net a month. I put 800 euro in ETFs, around 300 euro goes to my savings account (currently around 45k in it, 1,3% total interest) . I have a second savings account with a higher interest (2,5 % total) but can only add 500 euros a month on that account.
Say I would like to keep an emergency fund of around 15k, how could I put those 30k to work in a relatively safe way, short term? Have bought my own appartment but will maybe move in next couple of years. I don't expect the gains to be huge, but I want a higher yield than the regular savings account obviously.
