My first PCS to Bragg next week and I’m looking for how to to go about furnishing my apartment. For reference I stay in single officer housing (Randolph pointe) on fort Bragg. Are they’re any good furniture stores in the area? I’m just in the market for a bed, couch, and kitchen supplies. Also how would I go about moving this stuff? My family situation at home is frustrating so I’m doing this all alone. Should I rent a U-Haul and just wing it or should I ask for help?

Reporting to my first unit in about a month (82nd if that matters). Aside from being physically fit, accepting that I’m going to do USR, and learning the language of my unit, any other words of wisdom on how to be a valuable asset and not a liability?
