Lowered my Blackwing and added spacers

Huge improvement

Eibach .7” springs
5mm spacers in the front and tappout tuning extended lugs

It does seem to handle a bit better, slightly stiffer which I prefer. Feels more like a sports car now, could be placebo or could not!

Pic of it at currently at the the tint/ppf shop for fun

I ended up doing the trade

Made a post a couple weeks ago about trading down from my 992 gt3 to the Blackwing and it’s come to fruition.

I’m definitely happy with the choice and conveniences of being able to put a car seat in the back of it + how comfortable it is for cruising. Can’t wait to keep driving and get some mods on this thing.

Can’t really open it up due to the engine break in but the cars surprisingly nimble for the size, sounds incredible as well. The interior feels a little cheap, that’d be my only knock but it’s not the worst.

Has anybody else “downgraded” into a black wing?

I have a 992.1 Porsche gt3 6mt that I’m going to trade/sell for a 2026 ct5 black wing. We just had our first kid and using our regular daily’s by requirement now just isn’t fun. The porsche isn’t my only toy but it’s the most expensive, the rest are 90s cars (Supra, Fox). I do plan on modding the v, all bolt ons and a cam.

Anyways, seeing if anybody’s gone objectively backwards into a black wing and how you felt after the fact? I’ve consistently seen tons of praise for the BW so I’m not worried about not liking it for what it is.

I also have not locked one in yet so if you work at a dealer and happen to have a non black or white example that’s fully optioned out sitting, let me know.

Edit: a few key points

I do not track my gt3

Most of my driving is highway and some back roads

The car has carbon buckets so installing rear seats for a baby seat would be really tough to manage squeezing a kid back there often, without scuffing up the whole interior.

We were curious if our newly adopted pit mix would be ok around kids so we tested her out

She’s been part of our family for 2 months now, my niece and nephew came over today to meet her. As expected, she was an angel and loved them. Our human child arrives in a week and we’re excited for them to grow up together. If only she would stop harassing our cats 😭

This is in a stock 5.0/302 93 fox. A friend just changed the rear main out for me and after taking it for a drive, I noticed this seal is leaking 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫. I’m not sure if it was leaking before or not. Which of the fluids would be leaking out? Gear or trans? Probably a stupid question but just want to make sure it doesn’t run low.
