Concrete patch?

Concrete patch?

We bought our house with this rectangle cut into our concrete driveway and filled with aggregate (and weeds!) Can I just dig down a few inches and fill it with concrete? What kind? Will it start crumbling around the edges? (I have made a concrete pad for my porch so I have some experience building a form and pouring concrete) I’d like to avoid tearing up the whole driveway. Any suggestions welcomed!

Latest anti-CBC rage bait

The right-leaning The Hub and of course postmedia are feasting on this poll showing how few Conservative supporters “trust CBC”. But I think a closer look at this data shows a more troubling trend. The majority of Conservatives don’t trust ANY media- even conservative-leaning news sources like The National Post. They don’t actually believe in journalism. They don’t want to understand what is happening in the world. Where do they get their information?
At what point do you stop trying to engage these people?

RANT — “On your left!” is unsafe

I’m not sure why fellow cyclists do this when they pass. I know it seems more courteous than ringing a bell, but so many cyclists wear earbuds these days, that someone saying in a breathlessly low voice “On your left” is ineffective and may actually lead to a crash. Use your bell!

This National Post Editorial about a poor BC mom who is persecuted for her opposition to the land acknowledgment is pure rage bait. It neglects to mention that the partner of this woman is none other than Marc Emery — the disgraced Prince of Pot — rebranded as a white nationalist who’s actually running to be on this very school board. (Just check his FB) The sexual harassment allegations aside [VSun 01/17/2019], these are not normal people. All conveniently omitted. I’m sure the school board had other reasons to call children’s services.
