I love Part 1 to death. I love Denji as a character, his story and how I can relate to it. The question of finding value in such a shitty life. The beautiful scene where he says he wants to be Chainsawman and eat steak every morning, because Denji realised he has every right to desire a happy life, that he doesn't have to be just grateful that his life is slightly less shitty than his previous life he's allowed to want to be genuinely happy and he will go out there and fight for it, that meant so much to me.

And then part 2's whacked up powerscaling ruined it because now the question is, why the actual fuck would you want a good life in the chainsawman world if statistically there's a good chance you will spend an eternity in agony inside an insect's stomach regardless of your input due to the chainsaw devil's actions, and the only way to prevent it beforehand is dying? What the hell is the point of finding meaning in your life when either way an aging devil can come out of nowhere and force you to spend thousands of year in slow torture and there's nothing you can do about it? Why would you go out and try really hard to fight for a life where you eat steak every morning when a falling devil could appear and kill billions of people including you in a single day and there's nothing you can do about it?

No joke I think Aki and Power dying early is an amazing thing to happen to them and Denji would be infinitely happier if he died without ever seeing a good thing happen because if they all did get to live a happy life, a random ass devil that can put you through an eternal amount of torture could potentially show up and give them all a fate worse than a brutal death, cause they can just do that to billions of people apparently in the world of chainsawman part 2.

Not to mention how meaningless everything in part 1 is in retrospect. Gun Devil is such a nothing burger compared to part 2 devils by the end, Aki's revenge and making sure others don't go through what he did means nothing when after killing the gun devil a random devil could come out and kill billions instantly including Denji and Power. Remember when Makima needed unholy levels of intelligence and planning to ruin Denji's life and bring about her world ending plan? Apparently multiple devils could do both of those things on a random tuesday if they felt like it so Makima just looks like an idiot now. At a certain point when anyone and everyone is just dying constantly it stops being a tragedy.

Yeah I get why Fujimoto pulled that ending out of his ass he probably realised that he fucked up his own story telling and the answer to the question "What would be the point in finding value and happiness in life if dying beforehand prevents you from living an eternal agonising life inside an insect's stomach" is yeah there is no point and the best possible thing to happen to everyone in the chainsawman world is if everyone just died, time to end this shit.

Ever since the most recent update whenever I use the boiler room I click on the boiler activation button and it just stays down without activating and I can't click on it again. Is anyone else experiencing this?
