You need to fight like hell in 2026 if you want to escape the average life

Average rent is like 2000 a month in many cities in America . Median wage of $65,000 means Americans are spending 1/3 of their income on rent alone. Not including literally every other expense you need to pay to survive. Average American saves only 2.7% of their after tax income leaving only a couple hundred a month if they are lucky, many save 0 at all.

There are people who kiss corporate ass for 40 years with nothing tangible to show for it except a wasted life. Working 8 hours a day for 40 years and their family still isn’t rich. There are people who try to save for years to still have less than a $1000 in a savings account.

Do anything you can to escape this. Learn skills and live at home is my best recommendation to young people. The average person is fat and broke. Don’t be average

You need to fight like hell if you want to make money in 2026

Some dickhead who probably can’t do a pushup is out there making 250K a year in a cushy office job with 1 million in a brokerage. Simply because they did the right things to get there. You want to make money you need to be spending every single day learning something that get’s you there.

Having a job interview makes you realize most jobs are designed for stupid people

I went to my first interview for a sales role. 5% of the interview was about the actual skills needed for the job. 95% was tell me about a time x happened and how did you respond, when did you do something wrong and how did you fix it, what would your manager say about you , etc. Lol like it’s a storytelling contest.

No I did not get the job because I was unable to answer their questions in a good manner for them.

This shows you do not need to be highly capable to land a job , just able to be liked by interviewers and answer their questions properly

Am I too much of a loser to go to a hostel?

Went to a hostel for the first time and went solo. 24M and never even been to a party before let alone a party hostel. First thing I noticed is I am way less extroverted and social than everyone else. Everyone drinks beer and tells stories. Me, I’m very inexperienced with alcohol. I realize my life is boring, can’t relate to anyone, and come off a recluse who never lived at 24.

Options are lower risk than stocks

If you buy 100 shares of a stock you probably have to pay thousands of dollars. If you buy an option you technically have those 100 shares for a much cheaper price.

As long as you aren’t buying options that expire in a week or too far OTM options are better than stocks
