Would anyone be interested in joining a volunteer group focused on helping with food insecurity?

Hey everyone,

I’m curious if anyone here would be interested in joining a small volunteer group I’m putting together.

I work in social services, and outside of work I’ve wanted to organize something focused on helping people who are experiencing food insecurity and generally doing some good in the community.

I’ll be coordinating and organizing things as the group gets going. I’m not trying to turn it into something overly complicated — I’d rather start with a solid group of people, do some meaningful work, and build from there.

I’m Punjabi and born and raised here, and seva is a big part of the reason I wanted to start this, although everyone is absolutely welcome.

If it sounds like something you'd be interested in, send me a DM and I can share the QR code for our Signal group.

Anyone at BCIT interested in joining a small community volunteer group?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone here would be interested in joining a small volunteer group I’m putting together.

The main focus is helping people experiencing food insecurity and doing some meaningful work in the community.

I currently work in social services, and I wanted to start something outside of work that’s a little more grassroots and community-based.

I’ll be organizing and coordinating the group as we get started, but I’m also open to good ideas from people who get involved.

I’m Punjabi and born and raised here, and seva is part of what inspired the idea, but everyone is welcome.

If you're interested in getting involved, send me a DM and I can share the QR code for our Signal group.

Anyone interested in joining a small community volunteer group?

Hey everyone,

I’m putting together a small volunteer group focused on helping people dealing with food insecurity.

I work in social services and wanted to organize something outside of work where people could come together and give back to the community.

The idea is to start small, keep things manageable, and organize different projects as the group gets going. I’ll be helping coordinate things and keep everything organized.

I thought I’d reach out here and see if anyone might be interested.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be involved with, send me a DM and I can share the QR code for our Signal group.

Hello, would anyone be interested in starting a charity?

Hey everyone!

I’m a BCIT student and currently work in social services. I’m looking for a few people interested in starting a small charity/community initiative focused on providing food to low-income and vulnerable people.

I’m Punjabi and born/raised here, so I’d especially like to connect with others with a similar background, but everyone is welcome to join up.

I want it to be collaborative and equal. No one is bossing people around, and everyone has a voice.

It could be a great way to give back, meet people, gain experience/references, and do something positive for the community.

DM me if interested!
