Made an iOS app for OpenWebUI

Hi all I asked here a while back how people actually use Open WebUI. Since then I've been running it daily, and my brother more than me. He kept asking for a proper native iOS app, so I built one: Keep.

Streaming chat with full Markdown and LaTeX, Home Screen widgets, Live Activities, hands-free voice mode, offline reading, and an admin panel for users and analytics.

Right now it's just the two of us using it. I'd like a handful of early testers before a wider release happy to send TestFlight invites, comment.

Just discover OpenWebUI, what's next step?

Hi guys, I just discovered OpenWebUI how do you commonly use it? What are the main advantages of using it over just Claude or ChatGPT? What's the most productive way to use it?

Replaced my AI-generated App Store screenshots with real ones before/after

Built PileStack as a side project iOS app for saving links, articles, videos with actual intention behind each save. think read-later but smarter.

when I shipped I used AI screenshots. they looked fine but weren't real. finally fixed that.

left = AI right = real UI

a few questions for you:

  • which version would make you actually download it?
  • can you tell the difference between AI and real screenshots when browsing the App Store?
  • how many apps do you think still have AI-generated screenshots right now?

free to try: PileStack

Tiktok Don't let me to add App Store link on profile, Helllppp!!!!

Hi guys, I’ve posted several times about my app PileStack, which helps users organize saved content links, images, files, etc. The main functionality is done and I started marketing a few days ago.

I have a problem: I upload videos on TikTok and Instagram. Instagram lets me attach an App Store link directly on my profile, but TikTok doesn’t and since my TikTok numbers are bigger, I feel like I’m losing users who can’t easily navigate from TikTok to the App Store. Has anyone faced this issue? How did you solve it? Numbers are not big i know, but on instagram viewers number are even worse.

Built an app to stop losing links I actually care about here's me saving a bike auction link.

I never posted why I built PileStack. This is the first time I'm sharing it anywhere.

I'm into bikes. I follow auctions, track prices, compare models over time. The problem by the time I'd go back to a link I "saved," it was buried in bookmarks I never open, lost in a Notes app graveyard, or just gone because I closed the tab.

I needed one place where links just... live. With context. Findable.

So I spent 2 months building PileStack. In the video I'm saving an ended bike auction not because I'm buying right now, but because I track prices over time and that link is useful later.

A - Answer: Privacy-first iOS app for saving and organizing links. Auto-pulls title and preview so you remember why you saved it.

B - Better: iCloud sync, no account needed, your data stays on your device.

Happy to hear any feedback.

Organic TikTok: 2 paying users. Paid TikTok ad: 13K views, 0 users. I don't get it

I'm building PileStack an iOS app for saving and organizing web content/images. Think bookmarks but actually useful, with collections, iCloud sync, and a share extension so you can save anything from any app instantly.

Before launch I posted a few organic TikToks showing the app in action. No budget, just raw screen recordings. Got 2 paying subscribers from that. Felt good.

So I thought let me put some money behind it and run a promoted post. This time I used an AI UGC content creator to make it look more polished and "native" to TikTok.

Results: 13K views, 0 new users. Zero.

My organic videos with basically no reach converted better than a 13K view ad.

My guesses on what went wrong:

- AI UGC felt fake and people could tell

- The organic videos showed real value, the ad felt like an ad

- Maybe the targeting was off

- Or TikTok users just don't convert to paid iOS apps?

Has anyone else run TikTok ads for an indie app? What actually works? I genuinely don't get why organic beat paid by this much.

I Made My App’s Mascot Dance on TikTok So You Don’t Have To 💀

Hey everyone! I’m building an app called PileStack. it lets you save images, links, notes, and more all in one place. I know people love a good cringe moment, so I had my mascot dance to a silly viral sound and then dropped the app name and “coming soon on the App Store” at the end. 😂 Every time I watch it back I genuinely can’t stop laughing. Four whole likes later, I think it’s safe to say I’ve gone viral. Is this the smartest marketing move or the dumbest thing I’ve ever done? You tell me😂😂😂
