The Opportunity I Lost Through Blind Trust
NEED HELP!
I got an offer from a really good company with a solid hike. During the interview process, I clearly informed them that my current company has a 90-day notice period. They said they were okay with notice buyout and wanted me to join within 30 days.
After resigning, I checked with my manager about project dependency. He told me that the current client contract is ending this month, so technically I may end up on bench anyway. Based on that, I assumed early release + buyout shouldn’t be a problem.
Now it has already been a month since I resigned, but my manager still hasn’t approved my final LWD. HR says they are waiting for manager approval.
Honestly, it feels like they are intentionally delaying things because they know I have another offer and the new company wants me to join quickly.
I updated the new company about the situation. Initially they were supportive and even ready to extend the joining timeline, but now they’re saying that since it’s already been a month and I still don’t have confirmed LWD, they can’t proceed further unless there’s clarity.
I’m stuck in the middle now.
I feel scared now. If anyone can refer me for Azure Data Engineer + Agentic Ai role will be great.
