Will the $10 discount disappear if I port out my mobility line or cancel it altogether?

Recently got Telus PureFibre 500 internet for $80 a month in British Columbia. With the Pre-Authorized Payment discount of $10 and being a previous mobility customer for over 3 years, I got another $10 off as a Mobile and Home discount.

I started a new job and my IT department at work gave me a brand new iPhone 17 with a Telus Corporate Phone number registered under my company’s account.

The IT department has given me the option to port my number over to them so I don’t have to pay for a phone plan as they cover the payments on the iPhone and the Telus phone plan they provide. The only caveat being its not under my name unless I ask my IT department to port my number out when I decide to leave the company.

So if I port my number over, or cancel my personal line altogether, will that home services discount disappear?

I pay for home wifi myself and tbh I am leaning more towards cancelling my personal line, keeping the phone number provided by my company since its a VIP number, easy to remember and only composed of 4 digits that repeat in pairs.

Please guide how I should approach this…

Workaround to get PC working with FancyLED’s?

I am in the market to buy a SyncBox based LED Backlighting system for my 65 inch OLED TV as my previous Govee Camera based Backlighting stopped working and I believe Fancy LED’s seem like the best option so far. But i was disappointed to see PC is not supported on their website. I have an RTX 4090 + Ryzen 7950x3d machine, the pc itself has no RGB lighting. I use this PC with my TV to play single player open world games and I really want to find a work around. I have no A/V receiver so the connection would be directly into the FancyLED Sync Box and then that into the TV.

Has anyone got it to work? How?

Looking at Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller, Mova Z60, Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, Narwal Flow 2, Ecovacs T90.

What has been your experience with vacuum robots in a home with mostly carpets? I have no pets but still carpet flooring will need some good suction.

  1. Mova Mobius 60 and Dream x60 Max UC have a pressure plate that helps create a zone of powerful carpet dirt lift. (claimed by youtubers and the brands) - Super expensive!

  2. Narwal Flow Gen 1 has Carpet Sense which lowers the suction brush when it detects carpets. Yet Vacuum Nerds and Vacuum Wars said Flow 2 works even better on vacuums? Not sure what to believe, their ratings change all the time. - Super Expensive!

  3. In Vacuum Nerds recent video titled "Best Robot Vacuum Spring 2026" - they crowned Ecovacs T90 Pro Omni as the best at ground in carpet pickup with no other vacuum ever coming this close. - Not expensive in Canada but don't know if I can trust it.

  4. Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow and Mova Z60 both have roller mop shields to protect my floors from getting wet but either their navigation sucks or the battery depending on the model.

Also reviewed videos from Vacuum Wars, Just a dad approved etc. and none seem to talk in detail about carpet pickup, if they score a vacuum high on carpet pickup, their websites score them lower. Most channels use affiliate links or are sponsored.

Only the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom in my 2 bed, 1 bath basement suite have hardwood flooring, the rest is all carpet. I have no pets, I generally keep my place clean and don't leave things lying around, most of my furniture is high enough for robots to pass under. I am willing to spend extra if there is one robot that excels at my use case but if it is marginal improvements, then please recommend one to go with outside of the ones mentioned above.
