tuition went up—for me at least

As students, I feel it's important to be able to talk money. We're adults, right? I'm not on any aid and I'm about to drop 4.1k on tuition throughout the next couple months in a series of payments whenever I can make them. I bring this up because the semester before left me paying 3.9k, the semester before had me paying 3.7-3.8k. Anyone else recognizing this pattern here? let me know.

I find it hard to be pleased by books.

I LOVE reading and I've found good books before, but a lot of the time the people who give me their ride-or-dies or swear-bys end up giving me an "this writer did a little more towards the end, tried, got rushed here, and made one of his/her characters do something pretty unrealistic here." This happens more than I'd like it too and I'm trying to see if there is an issue in my ability to understand something or something else.

not looking for any reccs, just trying to rap my head around this
