Contract work - Am I stuck?

Recently started contract work in big pharma, QA. Going through an agency and as a Class S PRSI umbrella contractor.

In my contract it says:

‘I cannot during the assignment and for 6 months afterwards, directly or indirectly enter into a contract with the client or certain connected parties for the same/similar services without (agency) prior written consent.

Does this mean I can’t go for permanent roles in the company I’m in? I was told I could during the hiring process.

Is 35eur/hr, 42eur/hr with 20% shift low for IQA role?

4yrs experience (2 in QC, 2 in QA)

Day shifts one week early, one week late.

I’ve been told this is a low ball offer? Wondering if I can switch agency to get a better rate.

November 2025 -> August 26

Been fairly consistent since November with 3 days a week full body gym routine. Not sure if this is good progress but I definitely feel more confident. I want to know if I should continue to do a small cut or eat at maintenance/bulk. Any tips?

Hot take: QC is too demanding as an entry role in pharma for a graduate

In my experience, QC wet chemistry in a big pharma company is incredibly demanding, fast paced and technical. I don’t understand why this is seen as a good first step into pharma company for new grads. They earn feck all and are probably hungover most of the time.

This is a highly skilled role that should be paid higher and require 3 years in another quality role such as inspection or sampling.

Can anyone confirm how much my avg monthly pay would be? The recruiter mentioned approx 72450 gross but was vague about how much net take home that would be, I’d like some insight into how these contracts work. Will I need to outsource tax services? How much will I actually end up taking home if I do 37.5 hrs and 46 working weeks

EDIT: I’d also like to know if people think it’s worth leaving my current role I’m on 44k. It’s permanent, no shift i have pension and 4% bonus yearly.
