Another Finished 3d Printed MSS Saber and a Custom Kyber Crystal Emitter Plug

Here's my newest design. I call this one Elegance. I ran into an issue on this one where the thinner walls on the concave neck piece was allowing the light to shine through the body even at 100% infill. To fix this, I redesigned all the emitters and necks that I've designed so far. Each neck now has a matching black insert that blocks the light from shining through. The insert is invisible from the outside of the saber and doesnt interfere with the blade or core. Every part is still fully interchangable.

The crystal emitter plug was printed with translucent jade colored filament with concentric infill, which makes for a pretty cool effect when you use a contrasting blade color.

The next saber in my 3d printed Modular Saber System and a couple of add-on parts

A lot of y'all will recognize this one. It's based off of Revan's Fallen lightsaber, and is aptly named Fallen. The parts are compatible with the other sabers I've made and Xeno3 cores. I'm not 100% happy with how this one turned out. Lots of little imperfections left over on the finish from the supports while printing. Which is easily fixed. But the light shines through the body of the neck and emitter even at 100% infill. So I'm gonna have to paint the inside of those parts or redesign them with thicker walls. I also decided to show a couple of the add-on parts I've designed for the MSS. Covers for the charge port and switch hole, for those who dont want to use electronics and just want to put their sabers on a shelf. Last pic is my DamienSabers Fallen Revan with an emitter plug that you can use to protect your rgb lens or pixel connections, or just to finish out a display saber to make it look more complete. The emitter plug works with any saber that uses 1" blades.

Thanks for looking

Another saber from my 3d printed Modular Saber System

This is the second complete themed saber from the Modular Saber System that I've been working on. I call this one Warspike. The system is designed to be used with modern electronics cores, or without just for display pieces. I'll be releasing the files for free on a few popular 3d printing sites once I finish the first five complete sabers, a few individual parts, and a few accessories. After that I will release new sabers and parts in waves consisting of 3-5 new sabers, individual parts, and accessories. And since someone asked, I am also looking into an Etsy shop to provide printing service for those who don't own 3d printers. The whole idea behind the system is to make the custom saber hobby more accessible. I'm also happy to help those who don't have the skills to design their own parts bring their ideas to life.

Thanks for looking.

I've been working on a modular 3d printed lightsaber system.

The system is designed so that all parts are interchangeable and can be used with or without modern electronics cores. I've designed a few themed complete sabers and several individual parts so that people can mix and match their parts to create their own custom lightsaber. Some of the themed sabers are based on popular designs from the movies and video games, others are just stuff I came up with. Ive also made several accessories, like stands, kyber crystals, dummy buttons, greebles, and blade plugs. I'm currently doing a lot of test prints to ensure fitment and work out any small details. This is the first complete saber. I call it The Guardian.

Today is the 21st anniversary of the first time I ever played Knights of the Old Republic. This was delivered this morning.

I know to some of y'all this is just another cheap, mass produced baselit from China, but for me it's the end of a very long story.

I've been a Star Wars fan my whole life. I wasn't born when the original trilogy came out, but I was the perfect age to have gotten to see the prequels in theaters. My wife and I got married and moved into our first apartment in June 2005. We were young and broke, but we had an Xbox and a TV and not much else. Spending that first month playing KOTOR is, a core memory for us and I always loved Revan.

About 5 years later, we were in a much better place financially and I started collecting sabers. Master Replicas at first, then a couple Ultrasabers(I know, I know. They suck, but at the time there weren't many options), and finally I commissioned a custom saber from a well known builder at the time. That turned out to be a huge mistake.

First, he refused to build an exact replica of the Revan saber(no one else was doing them at the time), which was okay because at the end I'd have a one-off saber. He spent two years lying and making excuses. I tried several times to get my money back, but he always promised it was almost ready. When I finally did get it, it was a complete disappointment, the build was wrong, the soundboard was wrong, the soundfont was wrong, the blade color, and even the light on the buttons were all wrong. The pommel looked like a door knob. The ONLY thing that was even close to what I asked for was that it had a brass section on the emitter. To make matters worse, two weeks after I received it he announced he was doing a run of EXACT copies of the one he had built for me. I sold the saber that day, and kind of lost interest in Star Wars and sabers.

Fast forward to April of this year. My little cousin asked me to 3d print him a custom saber. I found this sub. I started looking into how far the hobby has come since I last cared. I ended up designing an entire Modular Saber System that works with modern cores. I designed a bunch of different parts and let him and his brother choose their parts.

While working on that project, I found Damiensabers and the saber I had been wanting all these years. Today it's finally here, and I couldn't be happier.

I want to point out to anyone still reading, who might be looking to buy from Damiensabers, that there are two sellers on Aliexpress that go by Damiensabers. The one you want is called Damiensabers Official Store. The other one will take your money, waste your time, and never send you the product.

Anyway, sorry for the novel. I just wanted to explain why a cheap Chinese baselit was so important to me.

Thanks for reading.
