Prominent UFO Fella Bets That 'Extraterrestrials Will Not Be Confirmed by 2030'

"Under the published terms, at least two of three organisations , NASA, the National Science Foundation and the American Astronomical Society must affirm by 31 December 2030 that extraterrestrial intelligence has been discovered, including through an extraterrestrial technological object or alien biological life found on Earth."

------

I'll take that bet. What odds are you offering Shermernator?

At this point Half Life 3 will come before aliens.

Whatever happened to the hotly anticipated OP Ed?

The OP Ed that was promised when the interview with Elizabeth Vargas happened (which oddly is a bit hard to find outside of Reddit), it was claimed that an opinion piece was being published in the coming weeks.

Whatever the hell happened to it? I wonder?

And secondly, what the hell was it about?

Lastly, is the film out yet or was that wAge of Di$©losu®€?

UK Government rejects calls from an angry Scottish novelist for 'inquiry into wee UFO activity over Scotland'

*Paranormal investigator Malcolm Robinson has been campaigning for “greater transparency” on the topic for years, recently pointing to a tranche of files released in the US.

But in response to a letter to now-former prime minister Keir Starmer, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said: “In over 50 years, no sighting reported to the department has indicated the existence of any military threat to the UK and it is deemed more valuable to prioritise MoD staff towards other defence-related activities.*

---

This fella has been kicking the tree of truth for years. He's been in just about every paper and has beliefs across the whole spectrum. The good thing is though, he doesn't mix his beans with his eggs and keeps aliens as aliens, and ghosts as ghosts. His books go woo, but they don't go woo-who?

Yet his response from the MOD does raise a good point. With so much surveillance and tomfuckery from both allies and adversaries (as in drones/UAPs and "UFOs"), perhaps the military should be focussing their attentions on threats. The UK isn't the US and hardly needs the distraction from credible threats.

Because UFOs and aliens are a fantastic cover story and distraction from the very real-world threat of adversarial surveillance and domestic terrorism. In fact, a beautifully perfect cover story.

---

“We would however like to reassure you that the UK air defence community continuously monitors UK airspace to maintain a complete ‘recognised air picture’ as part of the national security posture and our commitment to the integrity of NATO airspace, allowing us to deter, track and react if necessary to any credible threats to the UK and its civilians."

---

Which basically boils down to "Get fucked four-eyes! We have enough real shit to do with all that our sensors do recognise".

'We're Potentially the Klingons': UFO millionaire Tells President Why Aliens Have Not Contacted Us

An excerpt:

"The reference, drawn from Star Trek, gives the argument a memorable edge. In Bigelow's interpretation, humanity may not be viewed as an emerging civilisation ready for contact, but as an unpredictable species whose technological progress has outpaced its judgement.

It is a highly speculative theory, but it speaks to the uneasy contradiction at the centre of the disclosure debate. Humans want evidence that they are not alone, while Bigelow argues humanity may be giving any hypothetical outside intelligence reasons to keep its distance."

I don't know about you, but I always thought of myself as a bit of a Vulcan myself.

Honestly, I could see him getting time with him. Some early reports said it was on Air Force One, some said in the White House. Maybe it was both. He's a mega/maga-donor, so, I guess he's gotta have his time to chew the fat.

And that's where this all gets murkier. He's a mega donor. He claims he is writing or written a speech for someone who pretty much says what he says off the cuff and goes off script willy-nilly. But, Greernipple also claimed last year (apparently when Bim Bam Bigelow made the speech claim) that he was in fact writing a speech for him to disclose UFOs to the nation.

Fairly certain he also claimed on his podcast he has previously been called into brief or read him in in his first term.

Any venture, I'm sure it will all be forgotten next week and that it will amount to the square root of fuck all.

An update on the UFO "Dog Whistle" EggMan Chronicles and rebranded CE5/psionics/telekinesis episodes.

"In this week’s episode, RC tackles the most requested question to date: What really happened to SW.ai? The UAP research group founded by Jake, James, and investor Alex that abruptly went dark. He addresses SW.ai’s mysterious disappearance from its Texas operations, the real story behind February’s sudden FAA shutdown of El Paso’s airspace and how a classified U.S. government operation is now allegedly using SW.ai’s own “dog whistle” and psionic summoning techniques to detect and shoot down anomalous craft."

I'll save you the bother of linking up the video. But basically his claims are that they were basically taken over by the government. (🐂)

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the widespread mockery and disbelief in the EggMan chronicles. His part in it, and the sudden cancelling of the YouTube series.

I doubt it has anything to do with the episode being named after a rather well known and well marketed telescope brand. I'm not saying they would have served a c+d, but, the episode looked as if it was thrown up overnight, so I doubt they'd have done their due dues.

It's odd he picks this back up. The episode was so wildly criticised and had a recent surge on aliens and UFOs subs. And two days ago, this. 😆

But yes, apparently the feds came and took it all and are now using it to call and shoot down their own eggs. What the fuck is this one chatting?

For anyone who needs a bit of background of this epic saga: https://medium.com/@krindiri/the-skywatcher-silence-what-happened-to-jake-barbers-uap-research-team-that-promised-to-show-us-dac2ed9e205c

There's all sorts of spin around and rehashes. But the explanation will be as simple as mustard. They realised they were directly competing with an established brand of telescopes and got C+D'd by them (and puked their advertising budget on an already established brand), AND/OR, they got completely laughed off the scene by the very audience they were trying to con. If you believe any cover story they come out with, you are basically saying you believe they reclaimed a UFO EGG. Sorry, but... spades are spades.

The shite website that they created literally had an AI box that said "How can you help us?" Which allowed you to enter your email. (Saved for later MailChimp a no doubt)

Then when the episodes went live (a webseries wrapped up as docuseries), the website had all sorts of changes and is now just a website pushing, whatever it was pushing with a few new characters.

Then, darkness. Two episodes in, and poof. Up and disappeared like a fart in the wind. No updates since 2025, the characters have disappeared. Persona non grata.

I see "tranche" five is upon us. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ufo-files-pentagon-5th-release-documents-videos/

I think we can all see where this is all leading to and the true motive for these releases.

Tranched beef. Basically, sliced beef. Which comes from the bull... Which, shit, comes from.

Bull-shit.

Tranche 5.

Washington — The Pentagon on Friday released a new batch of documents and images related to UFOs, also known as unidentified anomalous phenomena or UAP, including a military pilot's recollection of a huge, strange triangle that blocked out the stars over Afghanistan in 2002.

The 41 new files, posted on the Pentagon's UFO website, include a mix of documents, images and videos. The records come from the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, State Department and Executive Office of the President, with the oldest being from 1950 and the most recent being from this year.

The disclosure is the fifth release under an executive order President Trump signed in January directing the military and other agencies to produce more documents related to UFOs.

What's in the new UFO files?

The bulk of Friday's release includes the type of grainy videos that have been the hallmark of past disclosures, showing flying objects captured by military sensors and cameras.

Six of the videos show different versions of the same incident — an encounter over the Gulf of Oman by Special Operations forces on an AC-130J gunship in September 2021. The clips are cellphone videos of screens on the gunship, showing objects picked up by its infrared and other sensors.

objects when they traveled a distance out of view. Total observation time was approximately 5 - 10 minutes."

Friday's release includes eight 302 forms, which the FBI uses to record the details of witness interviews. All eight include redactions to shield confidential information, and most are paired with artist renderings from the bureau showing the objects that the witnesses described. Others were released along video footage that the interviewees captured, showing what appear to be orbs and other light sources in the sky.

One noteworthy 302 report records an interview with a former military pilot in 2024. The pilot told an agent that military pilots began seeing strange lights in the sky between midnight and 3 a.m. the year before. The pilot said he first saw the lights during a flight from Massachusetts to Ireland in October 2023.

Drone with explosive device seized at Leipzig Airport.

"A drone equipped with an ignition system was discovered near a parked Ukrainian cargo plane at Leipzig-Halle Airport on the night of Tuesday 04AUG August and was neutralized by security forces. In addition, that same night, a DHL cargo plane collided with an unidentified flying object shortly after takeoff. All flight operations were suspended for hours."

Fairly certain there'll be those who irk "What does this have to do with UFOs?", and complain that there is no accompanying grainy footage of a drone/UAP.

But a brief look over the past two years on these here parts have shown this hybrid warfare of using UAP/drone tech is pretty much standard practice now.

it's odd that you don't see the UAP/UFO airport flap much any more. It is almost as if, it was originally blamed on UFOs, in some weird hybrid attack on planes and online. An odd botfarm campaign to offset public perception of hybrid warfare, and, basically troll anyone who suggests as much.

These types of attacks are now commonplace. And if you look over the history of airport UFOs on here. There is an equal measure of realists and seeming fantasists. What is odd though his the amount of accounts you can see that have since been deleted.

Anyhow. This practice seems more commonplace now and by the looks of things, a lot more dangerous to boot.

Trailer for The Leader. A film about a UFO cult that believes Halley's Comet is a UFO.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13751042/

it seems every trailer on YT for it has been dive-bombed by Indian wannabe influencers. 😳 It has a trailer on IMDB and looks to be released soon.

Some will know about this UFO cult in particular, some won't. Won't spoil anything about the film, but, it looks like a worthy addition. I'm sure that kid who always rocks up when anyone posts a film to the board will come out the woodwork and have a whine about not taking UFOs/Aliens seriously.

I've seen films like Disclosure Day and Wage of Disclosure - as well as a host of films starring James Fox posted on here. Different angles, sure, but films with the same motive and rationale really. Entertainment and media, cash and fame. Just with different type(s) of acting.

Mini/short films here and there get posted daily, and, in reality, are just films of a different medium. The Jessica Michelle UFO vibe videos for example, that UFO Gerbil, Nobsnation... That ADHD "V" kid who spams bullshit conspiracy theories.

Thing is, this here film is a true story.

In essence, all the same thing at its core. Split hairs about the differences and handwaive at your will, but this film in particular looks rather good. The cult here, even had Uhura's brother (from Star Trek).

Anyhow, I'm sure you will like it whatever side of the topic you come down on. Looks fantastic.j

UK airline pilot reports UFO/Flying Saucer. Passengers report drone. Who to believe in a very British mystery?

Shit doesn't just happen in the United States, it happens in England too... Whoever said UFOs/aliens was just a stateside phenomenon?

But, who to believe, who, to, believe? A genuine bonafide mystery to get ones teeth into. Last week we had the Space-X methane fart cloud in the upper atmosphere UFO, this week, we have this.

An airplane pilot, with x amount of years of flight experience in one corner (claims, UFO).

Or, in the other corner, passenger(s), who claim it to be a drone.

Both very different connotations given the current topics of discussion and diametric opposites considering the article.

Sure, there are those who can say "They can be both in of the same, and UFO doesn't mean aliens...", and stroke that very famous cat while shaving said cat in a box with a very famous razor.

Yet we are in a very special time. A time when disclosure is just around the corner and finally have politicians ready to do the right thing and ensure we are ready by enlisting Dr. Phil to assess the psychological effects of such a disclosure.

(Forgive me for not posting whole article, but, if someone so wishes to save us from the lurgy of Yahoo, please feel free to archive.ph it.)

Any wee little sci-fi space gems?

I have seen pretty much all sci-fi I can think of. It's a genre that I think most of us can agree pushes the boundaries of human imagination and drives discourse to prosperous new futures.

Space sci-fi in particular is still, I would say, rather fringe(ISH). It has had days in the forefront in the 2000s and we've had smatterings of popularity therein. Yet, I don't know if it has had widespread intrigue as much as say, the superhero genre, or slasher/psycho horror for example.

I still feel it is a genre that has the most legs moving forward. There's some beautifully crafted films that focus on space, and while the 40s essentially power-bombed the genre upon audiences, I do wonder if there will be a full-on golden era.

All that said. I'm wondering if there are any gems out there I may have missed. So wondering what your favourites are.

I think mine would be Aniara? Quite a few years back now and there's been an influx of stuff since. Spaceman was entertaining for an indie (though Netflix), and Sunshine by Danny Boyle is an obvious standout.

Newly released South Wales (UK, not Oz) documentary about UFOs (18 mins).

Popped up in my radar today and gave it a wee watch. It's actually 100x better than anything that James Fox has done, beats Wage of Disclosure by a country mile, and it's actually filmed really well. Very Welsh, very dry, yet with a fantastic poetry to it. My word, has the topic needed something like this.

Not one for posting these types of films, but, everyone has to do their bit for Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 The fellas are far more likeable and real than any of the hacks we see in the constant barrage of bullshit, and you can genuinely see their passion and love for what they're doing. It ain't some failed influencer in make-up trying give all the boys a chubby on chatting absolute shite they've read elsewhere. Ain't some simpy hack with shady agendas for pushing content after content after content after content. And it ain't a AI script churner, trying to brainwash you into believing what he wants you to believe so he can later feed you a patreon subscription...

It's just two middle-aged nobodies, chugging along, not taking themselves too seriously.

Everyone loves a little bit of independent filmmaking and if you don't, then you should. Because it's little gems like this that blot out and make you realise why we love the topic for what it once was.

...And who says UFOs just haunt America?

UFO Sighting in a Dead Galaxy!

"Galaxies are windy places. At the center of some galaxies lies a supermassive black hole, accreting the gas and dust around it, called an active galactic nucleus (AGN). AGN are very energetic environments, generating winds and jets that can launch material at thousands of kilometers per second out of their host galaxy. The anatomy of an AGN with its high energy outflows is shown in Figure 1. These winds won’t just give you a bad hair day, they can regulate the growth of the entire galaxy by either pushing out interstellar gas and limiting star formation or by compressing interstellar gas and enhancing star formation.

The most powerful AGN winds are called ultra-fast outflows (UFOs). Previously, UFOs have only been detected in gas-rich, star forming galaxies. In today’s paper, the authors report the first ever discovery of a UFO in a quiescent galaxy – an old galaxy no longer forming stars. The role of AGN winds in quiescent galaxies is not well understood, so this discovery could help reveal how black holes keep galaxies quenched. But first, how do we spot a UFO?

Figure 2. The flux versus energy of the collected X-ray spectra. The observations from XMM-Newton are labeled PN and MOS1 and are shown with the blue and red dots. The spectra from NuSTAR is labeled FPMA and plotted as orange dots. The authors tried 3 different models to best-fit the data, labeled A, B, and C where Model C provides the best-fit. The iron emission line and UFO are labeled. Adapted from Figure 2 of today’s paper.

Now that we have a UFO in our sights, it’s time to zoom out and take a look at the host galaxy. The authors used spectra from DESI and multi-wavelength image data to fit the spectral energy distribution of the galaxy and estimate its star formation rate. They find an exceptionally low star formation rate, indicating that this is a massive quiescent galaxy that stopped forming new stars around 9 billion years ago. While UFOs are very time variable, energetic UFOs like the one detected in KUG 1208 have enough energy to affect the evolution of the host galaxy. So what effect can a UFO have on an already quiescent galaxy?

UFOs as Galaxy Quenchers

Quiescent galaxies have recently become a hot topic thanks to the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). JWST has discovered massive quiescent galaxies much earlier in the Universe’s history than astronomers previously thought possible. It’s not only surprising that star formation shut off so early in these galaxies but that it has stayed off ever since. Over time, the gas in the galactic halo can cool, condense, and eventually re-ignite star formation. In order for these galaxies to stay quiescent over billions of years, there must be some mechanism continuously heating the gas.

The authors of today’s bite propose that in KUG 1208, the central AGN may provide this heating through its outflows. As the winds plow through the surrounding gas, it can inject energy and stir up large-scale turbulence that prevents the gas from cooling and condensing. This process would explain the presence of the UFO and how this galaxy has remained quiescent for such a long time.

Additional observations of AGN winds in quiescent galaxies are needed to confirm this theory, but the UFO detection offers an exciting new clue for understanding massive quiescent galaxies in both the early Universe and our own galactic neighborhood."

---

I wondered why the big rebrand to UAP by the neo-cabal. Now we know fellas. As soon as UFO took leave of its chair, some astronomers repurposed it. /s

But no, in all seriousness, there's been a bit of a shift back from using the newfangled fad of calling stuff in the sky UAPs I have noticed.

It's like a division within a division and personally, I quite like going old school, so regardless of politics and schisms, I'll always call them UFOs.

But then, there is even a deeper level of semantics whereby, there's a jockey between UFO of human origin, or UFO of alien origin. A little like parry and joust, all you have to do is glance over the many debates and discussion this past few years since the UAP hearings to see the divide.

I guess it is just a preference really, but there's even been an arguement within an arguement as to why the change in the first place.

Some have said it is to get away from the stigma of little green men, Hollywood and TV. Whole other beliefs contest it is something to do with blocking of freedom of information requests (on Reddit r/UFOs). There are other theories that UAP now means UFOs and USOs combined.

Then there are others who just think it is part of a major rebrand for marketing purposes. There's been a lot of that in this administration.

Then there was the distinction between aerial to anomalous. Which is probably to distinguish it from an earlier acronym, coined in the, what 70s I think?

CBS said:

"What does UAP stand for? UAP stands for "unidentified anomalous phenomena," a catch-all term to describe objects detected in the air, sea and space that defy easy explanation.

The acronym stood for "unidentified aerial phenomena" until December 2022, when the Pentagon updated its terminology to encompass "submerged and trans-medium objects," as one official put it at the time. NASA and other agencies soon followed suit."

Kind of found this quite a good point made on Reddit:

"This is the beginning of a euphemism treadmill. Soon UAPs will have the same connotation UFOs do and they will have to come up with yet another word, and it will happen to that word too."

But, what say you? Why do you think the big rebrand?

Who among the attempted UAP rebrand/coup since 2018(ish) seemed to come and go quicker than an alien in a wheat field?

Since L.K published her now 10 year old article in the NYT, I, like many of you, have seen so many pretenders to the throne, so many stooges, wannabe influencers, alt-accounts, YT channels, and "personalities" swarm upon the topic.

Like a lot of regular posters on here, I've been lingering for beards, and in that time, I have lost count of the variety and flavour of people who carousel the topic.

For me, I think it was J.B and the attempt to rebrand S.G's remote viewing (which is a rebrand again) and Mish mash of Skin walker, into the long forgotten SkyWatcher episode.

It felt like the fella came out of nowhere, crash-landed, got a deal with NN and the floppy Aussie (R.C), tried to hit with his dog whistle, lasted two episodes, and now, it's like he's disappeared like a fart in the wind.

Anyroad, organic discussion and independent thought is where it is at right now, and I'm sure there is far more. But who else seemed to drop anchor, blow their load(s), and then fuck off quicker than they came?

Welsh actor Michael Sheen to star in new UFO comedy "Out There" after seeing a UFO in the skies over his hometown.

Michael Sheen is set to star in a Welsh comedy film about a UFO sighting - after sharing his own encounter with "a phalanx of lights" in his hometown.

Out There celebrates the "secret extraterrestrial history" of west Wales through the tale of a rebellious 16-year-old astronomy enthusiast who spots a UFO over her sleepy seaside town and ropes in her sceptical best friend and an eccentric ufologist to uncover the truth.

It will premiere at Edinburgh Film Festival in August, and features a host of Welsh actors.

Sheen has previously spoken about a series of spooky experiences in Port Talbot, south Wales, which convinced him the town was "very UFO-y".

Out There follows a rebellious 16-year-old astronomy enthusiast who spots a UFO over her sleepy Welsh seaside town

When Sheen returned to the area with his family in 1977, having lived for a while in Liverpool, he was told that his neighbour had seen "a UFO hovering over her back garden".

"I got told this, at the age of eight, about this woman who lived next door who was clearly very sensible, so I totally believed this," he told the Scarred For Life podcast, external in 2025.

Then, at 12 years old, after getting off the school bus, he recalled seeing "something coming round the edge of the mountain, in the distance".

"I stopped, and this light came out and then two lights behind it, and then three lights behind. A sort of phalanx of lights coming from behind the mountain and floating out over the sea," he said.

"As I'm standing there, I'm thinking, those are UFOs. I'm fairly certain those are UFOs.

"But I knew if I went in [to the house], they might disappear, so I just stood there transfixed and I watched them come all out, all over the ocean, and then they stopped, and then they all disappeared.

"No-one believed me, obviously.

"I have since heard that other people have seen things in Port Talbot, so I think there's some sort of thing going on there."

Out There is the debut feature film from director Simon Ryninks, who said the film "couldn't ever be set anywhere else" but Wales.

"After my mum passed away, I found myself returning frequently to west Wales, where our family is from," he told BBC Wales.

"I wanted to set something in that landscape as a way of reconnecting with her and to write about grief with humour and a lightness of touch."

It is produced by Tibo Travers of Sweetdoh Films and Katie Dolan of Bad Cat and stars Welsh actor Nerys Amber Stocks as main character Maz, who becomes convinced that the mysterious UFO sighting holds the key to her father's disappearance.

Image caption,

Out There is the debut feature film from director Simon Ryninks (front left) who had dreamed of setting a project in west Wales - his favourite place in the world

Ryninks added that learning about UFO sightings in west Wales in the 1970s also inspired the project.

"I loved the idea that this quiet, unassuming place had this secret extraterrestrial history and suddenly a landscape that felt deeply personal also had this strange cosmic grandeur and an innate sense of people longing for the unknown," he said

"I think there's a particular openness in Welsh culture to mystery, magic and folklore, and the film sort of became a joyous celebration of that in a lot of ways."

Ryninks said he had "always wanted to set a film on the Ceredigion coast as it's my favourite place in the world".

"For practical reasons, our main shoot took place around Bridgend, Nelson and Porthcawl, closer to where most of our cast and crew are based - and offered brilliant locations.

"But we also did some filming in Ceredigion, and that was when the film really began to feel like the one I'd carried in my head for seven years," he said.

Image caption,

Game of Thrones star Iwan Rheon is among the "exciting ensemble" of predominantly Welsh cast members

Typical unreliable Welsh weather was a major challenge for the cast and crew, who shot the film in October.

"We became convinced we were going to be completely rained off and were obsessively checking multiple weather apps and choosing whichever forecast frightened us least," said Ryninks.

"Every day of pre-production it rained... then, when we started shooting, it barely rained at all, which felt miraculous.

"It was unseasonably dry, so I can only assume we have the aliens and their advanced weather-control technology to thank for that."

The feel-good film about belief, finding meaning and coming to terms with loss also stars an array of other Welsh actors, including Tom Moya as co-lead, as well as Dunkirk's Aneurin Barnard and Game of Thrones star Iwan Rheon.

"It was very important to me that the casting felt authentic," said Ryninks.

He added the casting directors "worked tirelessly to bring an exciting ensemble together that was almost entirely Welsh".

He admitted that Sheen's character, Shifty Gruff, was written with him in mind.

"It was a total long shot, but, like a UFO believer, I held on to the possibility of making contact," he said.

"To have all these actors in my debut feature was out of this world."

Omni being a complete pube.

Trying to prompt Omni to animate from A/B a planet. It isn't earth, but resembles it. No matter what prompt I try, and tell it not to, it's brain melts and it turns into a numpty.

Has anyone had anything similar?

I think perhaps the words planet and NOT earth might be throwing it. I've gambled 100 credits on it insofar and am looking for suggestions.

I was thinking of exoplanet? Or alien world?

I won't try it in other models because they're all equally sketchy and Banana won't replicate the results, so it is definitely Omni's issue.

If you had to list your top three bullshit wizards in the UFO/UAP scene, who would they be?

We know they're there. We know the players, we've seen the YouTube videos.

Some are worse than others for concocting absolute make-believe and horse. They have their motives, I'm sure they sleep well at night.

Whoever you are, whatever your flavour of disclosure, whatever, there will be prime bullshitters within your field of belief.

For me:

  1. The "V" kid.

  2. Greer.

  3. Rogan.

British man's 20-year claim he saw a UFO on a beach in Lincolnshire while on holiday, speaks out.

These are the words of a man who claims he was left “buzzing” after witnessing a UFO over the Lincolnshire coast. Paul Rawlinson is speaking out about his sighting after almost 20 years of ridicule and scepticism from those he shared his story with.

The now 46 year-old says he was on holiday with family in Mablethorpe in the summer of 2009 when he caught sight of a fast-moving ‘black triangle’ coming across the sea at incredibly high speed.

Staying at a seafront caravan park in the resort, Paul’s encounter with the strange object came about by sheer chance. “After a day out on the beach on the Saturday, we all went and stayed in the caravan watching TV,” he explains. “Me and my wife were in one room and my family in the others. We heard arguing on the site, so I went to look out of the window, but couldn’t see what was going on.” Paul, who was visiting the resort from Rochester, said the immediate view was of the neighbouring caravan, which faced the beachfront. It was while scanning the area for the source of the disturbance, that something else caught his eye.

“I was looking up to the sky as it was really clear, and I saw a couple of shooting stars,” he recalls. “All of a sudden this triangle-shaped aircraft went over me so fast. I called my wife come to the window, but it was so quick that within seconds it was gone. The sky behind it went from clear to cloudy, and there was no sound at all. It must of been going thousands of miles an hour.” Paul described the object as “twice the size of a fighter jet” – with with a light at each corner of the triangle. "I was buzzing at how lucky I was to see it,” he adds - but the sentiment was not shared by his family. “I ran into the other rooms and told my brothers I’d just seen a UFO and they all took the p*** out of me, laughing,” he recalls. “We went home that Sunday evening, still with eight of my family laughing.” Acknowledging the long-standing stigma around the UFO subject, he added: “I’m not bothered about that, I know what I saw, so I didn’t care if people believed it or not.” Paul’s sighting certainly wasn’t the only one in Lincolnshire that year – with reports of UFOs – or UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena) as they are now called - being spotted over Conisholme wind farm near Louth the night before one of the turbine’s was damaged. Despite the official account stating the turbine was damaged by a faulty bolt, dozens of residents reported seeing unusual things in the skies – including glowing orbs and UAP described as ‘tentacled’. “Whilst trying to find more info on what I’d seen, I read that a wind turbine’s blade had been sheared off," adds Paul. “There was no debris to indicate what could of hit it, but those stories prove that something was out there.” Indeed, 2009 was the year that UK’s leading UFO expert, Nick Pope, told the Louth Leader that Lincolnshire was a ‘hotspot’ for such activity.

In the years that followed, Paul began to research the topic and was reassured by the knowledge he was not alone in this particular sighting – with thousands of others across the globe reporting strange black triangles in the sky. "What I saw has been seen by many in the world,” he said. While some in the field believe ‘black triangles’ are secret military aircraft, others say their flight characteristics and rapid acceleration point to a technological capability beyond the realms of known physics. With more recent developments in the field, such as the US congressional hearings on UAP since 2023, and Trump releasing Department of War images and footage of strange objects in the sky this year, the topic has never been hotter or less taboo than it is now.

Now, I'm a fairly level-headed kind of chap, and won't pander to people putting feathers in their arse and calling themselves a chicken. Been on these here subs for quite a long time and remember when there were less than 50,000 on here.

That said, I love a good sighting, and have a staunch respect for those who do their own thing and don't bs their account.

I'm 99% sure P-Law hangs about these here UFO subs and has recanted the story of this exact sighting.

Come on Paul! Rear your bearded head and give us the all the cheese sir! I know you're there.

Does anyone know of the Elmwood UFO incident of the 1970s?

Editor's Note: The Elmwood Area Community Club held an essay contest this year for the 2026 UFO Days. Elmwood students grades 5-12 were invited to write an essay with the theme "Why I Love Elmwood." The three selected recipients will ride on the UFO Days parade float.

Elmwood is mainly where I’ve grown up so I have some good memories, like searching for the UFO Days medallion or playing pool with my buddies at the Sand Bar.

The greatest part about Elmwood is UFO Days. It is a very fun event on the last weekend of July celebrating the UFO sightings in 1970. They have alien everything and it is popular all over Pierce County. There are grillouts, concerts and people everywhere. You can’t get bored when there are people you know everywhere. There are kids with cans behind their bike wheels and fireworks. It’s an all-round good time; they even bring in fair rides and food trucks. I remember riding bikes with my friends all day and then hanging out with my cousins until midnight, which was late for me.

Elmwood has some great aspects outside of UFO Days too, like eating with your friends at the Shack after swimming in the river all day or eating at Kern’s in the morning. But that’s all summer things; there are things to do later in the year too like going on the school’s haunted trail in October or going to Butternut Park when the festival is going on and getting apple cider. You can go sledding down the bank when there is snow on the ground or go snowmobiling on the school trail. There are so many things to do any time of the year, like trashbogging down the bank in the spring when it’s raining. From sledding to the UFO Days parade, you can’t get bored in Elmwood.

I’m so glad I live in Elmwood; it is fun to live here and I wouldn’t live anywhere else if I had the chance. If I was raised anywhere else, I would be astronomically different as a person. Having Elmwood as my hometown is an honor and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sounds like a hoot!

Apparently there was some sort of Close Encounters-like mass viewing there in the 70s. I wonder if this inspired Close Encounters? They even have a sign for their UFO thing.

"According to news reports, some believed the town’s rock quarry attracted UFOs. Others thought it might be the government conducting top-secret experiments in the skies over Elmwood. One minister even thought it might be signaling the second coming of Jesus Christ. Still others thought those who claimed to see UFOs were nuts or spending too much time in the taverns."

I would go, 100% to this festival. I'd personally have a stall selling green limeade and call it "Spaceman Blood". $5 a pop!

The fairground ride sounds a treat, and I would so host a public viewing of that year's best UFO videos off of here.

i would also host a Q+A with longtime bullshit artist Lie Elizondo and see if he could add something to the mix. I mean fuck the incident in question, I'm getting me a space queen to visit the big dipper with.

Some White House staffer has claimed that the feds, CIA should wave NDA's for further "whistleblowing".

Off that bat, this administration has more important things that they should be addressing. Gas prices, cost of living, Iran, ICE overstep, Trumpstein Files to name a few. But instead, this symbolic gesture only serves the purpose(s) of a minority of people who are obviously trying to profit/gain from this whole charade.

"Pursue" (ha! Purse), is essentially a sham overhang, again, to try and make it look like he is doing something ahead of the mid-terms. We don't forget that he ran on the promise of full disclosure. Two weeks after he won, his press secretary basically said they looked into "the files", and said there was nothing in them. It was quickly brushed under the rug. Now they trot this out when they need "good press".

All of a sudden though, there's a subsection of the GOV. website, branded like one of their emails begging for money, with age old grainy videos, with context written in the style of one of the orange sex offender's tweets. Miraculous U-turn.

And now, a "government higher upper" has said he has declared that agencies should waive their prior NDAs for prior employees.

A largely symbolic show, this literally opens the topic up to anyone to come forward and claim whatever it is they want to claim. It doesn't actually declassify anything, it doesn't disclose anything. If said people had anything to disclose, they'd simply disclose it and not have to go to AARO or anyone to "blow his whistle".

AARO has previously said there were nothing to substantially prove aliens exist, there was no craft and most stories were stories. To the ire of many folk who claimed otherwise.

This NDA waiver, simply just opens it up for any plant pot to come forward and rehash old claims. It serves the purpose of allowing more people to plug more hearsay without hard evidence.

This "NDA waiver process" isn't anything about alien disclosure, but is a political tool that feeds conspiracy narratives without changing the underlying realities. Unexplained sightings are mundane sensor errors, advanced military tech, or foreign surveillance and are yet to be proven to be off-world phenomena. Removing NDAs will largely generate a new wave of unverifiable and unfalsifiable stories while changing very little in the way of the hard, verifiable data.

This is someone's order to breathe a bit of life back into the subject and I wouldn't mind betting someone somewhere has a "drop" coming. Some previous "whistleblowers" can now republish old claims while new "whistleblowers" can come forward and tells us more stories of what their mates told them around the water fountain.

Fully expecting more bullshittery coming down the pipe. Let's see in two weeks. Bottom line, if the administration had any hard evidence or hints of hard evidence, they could release it with their "tranche" or the golden nonce could write about it in a tweet. They wouldn't have to handwaive NDA's to get people to come forward.

So fully expect some crackpot to appear on Fox or NN, blow their load with some unverified claims, and thank DjT for his service to PURSUE and Disclosure and to the American people. All before the mid-terms.
