Need help with a dilemma

31 enquiries, 6 cards, and now I’m trying to stop the madness 😭

₹27k/month | CIBIL 773

Current cards:

• Utkarsh ₹100 secured

• Slice ₹38k

• Roarbank ₹5k

• HDFC MoneyBack+ ₹48k

• Axis Flex ₹83k

• ICICI Coral ₹50k

Pending: BOB UniGold ₹30k, Swiggy HDFC (tentative ₹5k), RBL ShopRite (tentative ₹40k).

Recent AU/IDFC/Yes rejections + an application spree took me to 31 enquiries. Planning a strict 6–9 month credit detox.

Main questions:

• RBL ShopRite: Keep it for groceries, ask for LTF, or let it auto-cancel? Worth ₹590/year for capped cashback + redemption fees?

• HDFC: If Swiggy HDFC gets approved, should I close MoneyBack+ after 6 months or keep it for future Millennia/LE prospects?

• Does a ₹5k Swiggy HDFC limit affect HDFC’s overall limit sharing/LE?

• How long should I realistically wait before applying for anything again?

• Any other cards I should eventually target for groceries/UPI/utility spends?

Basically: how would you clean up this portfolio and play the next 6–12 months?

Need help with a dilemma

Need some advice from the community on streamlining my cards, managing approvals/rejections after an application spree, and planning my next 6–12 months.

Profile & Financial Snapshot

Monthly In-Hand: ₹27,000 (₹3.8 LPA)

CIBIL Score: 773

Total Enquiries: 31 (went on an application sprint recently; 20th enquiry was back in Jan 2026)

Monthly Spends

Groceries: ₹5,000 – ₹10,000

Food Delivery (Swiggy): ₹5,000/month currently (usually ₹1,000 – ₹2,000)

Metro Recharge: ₹2,000

Mobile / Utility Recharges: ₹1,000

Existing Portfolio

Utkarsh SuperMoney Secured CC: ₹100 limit (May 2025 – Oldest card, 1 yr 3 mos)

Slice: ₹38,000 (Oct 2025)

Roarbank: ₹5,000 (Nov 2025)

HDFC MoneyBack+ (Paid): ₹48,000 (Approved July 2, 2026)

Axis Flex: ₹83,000 (Approved July 5, 2026)

ICICI Coral (Salary A/c): ₹50,000 (Approved Aug 14, 2026)

Recent Applications & Pipeline Status

AU Cheq / IDFC First / Yes Bank KreditPe: Rejected (IDFC offered FD-only).

BOB UniGold: Letter received today, ₹30k limit (pending final confirmation).

Swiggy HDFC (LTF): Application accepted with a tentative ₹5k limit waiting for approval

RBL ShopRite (Paid - ₹500 + GST = ₹590): Under process with a tentative ₹40k limit.

Specific Doubts & Questions

RBL ShopRite — Keep, negotiate LTF, or let it auto-cancel?

Grocery cashback is capped at ₹250/month (₹3,000/year). Minus the ₹590 annual fee and the ₹117 redemption fee per cycle, net value drops to ~₹2.2k/year.

Is it worth keeping just for groceries over a flat 1% card, or should I email customer care requesting LTF conversion upon delivery?

If I simply do not activate it within 30 days and let it auto-cancel under RBI guidelines, what is RBL’s cooling-off period before reapplying via an LTF link? Will this flag my profile internally?

HDFC Strategy (MoneyBack+ vs. Swiggy HDFC):

If Swiggy HDFC gets approved, MoneyBack+ becomes redundant for my day-to-day spends.

However, MoneyBack+ is a core card, while Swiggy is co-branded.

If I close MoneyBack+ after 6 months, will I lose my HDFC core relationship and future upgrade paths to Millennia?

Is it better to hold MoneyBack+ for 6 months, request a Limit Enhancement (LE) + upgrade to Millennia/LTF conversion, rather than closing it?

Does having a low tentative limit (₹5k) on a co-branded HDFC card affect future limit sharing or enhancement across HDFC cards?

CIBIL Enquiry Recovery:

Sitting at 31 enquiries. Plan is to initiate a strict credit detox for the next 6–9 months to let hard enquiries age out and let my new core limits build credit depth. Any specific pitfalls to watch out for?

Looking forward to your suggestions on how to clean up this stack and maximize reward returns on groceries. Thanks!(Used Gemini to polish

I made a mistake in HDFC application

Please help

I was too jumpy when applying for a card instead of scrolling down the webpage for selecting freedom I clicked apply now and it gave me 3 options after entering my phone number it didn't do a cibil check

It showed me pixel , money-back , swiggy orange

I chose money-back as freedom was not available and i wanted a core card to start my major bank card journey

On 28th June on 29th June I got a message stating that an agent will come to meet me but I'm still waiting

After looking at the website once more I saw that we had the option to scroll a few times and select freedom

Moneyback requires 20k net but mine is 15,380

Idk what to do i feel like i simply wasted an enquiry

(Copy pasted from previous post for background)

24M

My cibil is 769

38k slice credit card is used by 4k opened in oct 27 2025

Utkarsh secured cc 100rs opened in May 2025

Roarbank 5k limit opened in nov 3 2025

Last enquiry was on Jan 2026 with a total of 20 enquiries

Salary is 15k(please stop talking about don't go for credit cards get a better job .etc ik all that I'm after the utility and convenience of the card if i could get a better job I would but right now I'm still searching for one)

I spend on avg 5-7k per month sometimes 10k if i have more bills to pay

I don't want any lounge access

I prefer cashback but if reward points are easier to redeem without charges I'm fine with that

When is the earliest credit card i can apply for with lowest chance of rejection

HDFC freedom

Axis Neo

Gpay axis flex

Pop credit card

Sbi simply click

My target is a major bank credit card which I can use forever as a card I don't need to close so hopefully ltf so if my limits are good I can try for C2C or get better offers later

And major bank cards allow for good emi and discounts

Any suggestions?

I don't have any missed payment or bounce
