Western zodiac + Chinese zodiac = elemental creature

Honestly, I know my zodiac signs. But I got the wonder “what if we combine them into a mythical creature”.

For example, my zodiac sign is a Sagittarius fire and a metal snake from the Chinese. And since I like dragons… fire + metal = forge. Hence, the Forge dragon. A dragon that could forge anything from creation or could be explosive/combustible when possible. I’m gonna be honest, yeah I use ChatGPT to give me aspects from each of the zodiac signs.

But honestly, maybe it doesn’t have to be a dragon for any of you. It could be a unicorn, it could be Pegasus, it could probably even be the Kraken. The point is this combination of zodiacs can make one amazing creature.

And PS just to make sure it’s not confused with the Chinese dragon, my heritage or Ancestry is European so… My Forge Dragon, is a western dragon.

Path of the Nerve Gear

What if the closest path to a real-life NerveGear isn’t one company, but a collaboration between many existing technologies?

My idea is that we already have companies working on different pieces of the puzzle:

🧠 Brain Interface
Neuralink
Synchron

🧠 Non-Invasive Brain Monitoring
OpenBCI
EMOTIV

👀 Vision
Apple Vision Pro
Meta Quest

👁️ Eye Tracking
Tobii

👂 Spatial Audio
Sony
Dolby

✋ Haptics
HaptX
bHaptics

🦵 Body Tracking
HTC VIVE
SlimeVR

🤖 AI Coordination
OpenAI
Google DeepMind

The way I see it, a future “Half Dive” system might not be a single headset. It could be a combination of a brain interface, external sensors, haptic systems, eye tracking, and AI working together while the user is lying comfortably in bed.

Obviously there are major scientific, safety, and ethical hurdles, especially when it comes to reading and writing information to the brain.

But do you think Full Dive VR is more likely to happen through many companies combining technologies rather than one company inventing everything from scratch?

Curious what people who follow VR, BCIs, and neuroscience think.
