Looking for Video editor for events/weddings/speaker reels

I run a photography and content business and I’m looking for an editor to work with on an ongoing basis. Most projects are brand/social content, with some longer event work like weddings mixed in.

I’m not looking for heavy graphics or VFX, just someone who can watch the raw footage, pull the strongest clips, and cut them together cleanly with music and good pacing.

Would love to see a couple examples of raw footage next to your finished edit if you have any. Still figuring out fair pricing for this, so let me know your rates (per project or hourly) and typical turnaround time.

my boyfriend called me "too much" during my luteal phase

My(31f) boyfriend (36m) came to sleep over last night and I was feeling super low energy due to a tiring day the day before, and it was right before my period. Now, it's no secret I prefer to be handled a little but more gentle during my luteal phase (like many of us women) And on a some-what daily basis we play a little rough, and I love joking around with him like that.

So we're laying in bed and we're joking around and he's getting a little rough with me and I ask him "be nice to me", "be gentle with me" and it ends with him saying "okay i just won't touch you" and complains about how every month for 3 days I get like this, that I need to be an "adult". When I'm asking if thats SUCH a big deal he says "You're a lot. Everyday"

And I raised my voice and said "then don't be with me" and he left.

And of course today I get my period, and I'm angry, and I'm sad, and I feel defeated. We haven't spoken since last night and honestly, I'd be happy never speaking to him again. We've been (mostly) on and off for 3 years and I'm annoyed I even have to talk to him to break up.

Edit to note:

-he's been married and has 2 teenage girls so the luteal phase is not anything new to him
- he called me 5 minutes after I posted this and was talking to me like nothing happened, I told him I don't want to talk to him and hung up. despite all the wonderful advice, I'll have a convo with him when he's out of work and be very clear

iPhone 17 and 13 Pro Max stuck in Recovery

I am so throughly annoyed.

Last night while trying to download Reddit ironically, my phone shuts off and goes into recovery mode. I try recovering on it's on, I reset it a few times and I try recovering it with a nearby phone (my 13 pro max) and I end up falling asleep.

This morning I try a few more times while connected to my computer and while I'm setting up my 13 Pro Max to be my phone for the day, I figured I'd go to the apple store sometime this week to sort it out. While restoring my 13 from my iCloud back up, it makes me update the software. Fine.

As soon as it's done downloading, it also goes into recovery mode.

I am SO SICK of this update, the 17 is the glitchiest phone I've ever had which shouldn't make ANY SENSE. I just want the old ios on my 13 pro max and never buy another phone ever again. So now I have an appointment at Apple at noon.

*end rant*
