For those who've gotten real early traction, what actually worked vs. what you expected to work?
A few weeks into building something (Consile, people ops software), and I've noticed a real gap between what I assumed would drive signups and what's actually generating interest. Cold outreach with genuine research has worked better than I expected. Directory listings have been mostly quiet. Reddit, oddly, has produced some of the most genuine conversations.
Curious what this looked like for others in the early days. Not asking for generic "do content marketing" advice, more interested in the specific thing that surprised you, a channel that worked way better or worse than you'd guessed, or a moment where you realized you'd been targeting the wrong kind of user entirely.
