How do folks identify a bird they’ve never seen before?
I want to join the birding community so, starting off, i will not be able to identify many birds. How do folks do it? Is there a book, website or app you all recommend that could help?

I got this as a gift from family who visited Vietnam recently. What does it say?
I will be interviewing a handful of folks in person this week. I actually really like all of them based of the phone call we had. I have two kiddos (1 month and 2 years old). Thinking it will be good for them to meet the children during the interview but how do people usually handle this? Should the toddler be playing in the background or do they usually interact with the kids in the interview?
Edit- few folks have mentioned trials. Is that like a day’s work and then decide after that and make an offer?
