Yeti SB160 setting sag
Hi! I am new to Yeti. Bought a SB160 (C2, 90 build) recently. I have questions about the suspension setting. I weigh 143 lbs, and according to Fox, the fork (Fox 38 Performance) air pressure recommendation is 72-80 psi for 120-150lbs rider. I started with 75 psi (as that’s what I have on my other bikes (Fox 36 Factory)) but I can’t get the sag. I can only get 38mm sag after dropping the pressure to 60 psi, which is only 22% (out of a 170mm travel Fox 38). I also have tried both pressures on trail. 75 psi is definitely too hard (like I have no suspension or had it locked out). And for the shock I also have to lower my normal pressure (180 psi on my other bike, Fox DPX2) to 160 psi to get about 23% sag. I wonder if this is just what Yeti is? Why 15-20 psi lower than the “norm”? BTW, the bike is nice, it picks up speed so fast that made me feel it had a hidden motor…
