ASUS XG27AQDMG won't do 1440p @ 240Hz on Linux + NVIDIA — fixed it with a custom EDID (and got 10-bit via DSC)

My monitor didn't show the right resolution and hz so I hella vibe coded ts, if there are any bad security things in the repo please don't hack me, pretty please. I used this on Cachyos but it also has guides for other distros, well don't hate me please cuz it's vibe coded but I hope this saves someone a weekend of troubleshooting

**TL;DR:** The ASUS ROG XG27AQDMG ships a **corrupt EDID** (bad extension-block checksum + lost data blocks).

On NVIDIA + Linux the kernel rejects it and you lose 1440p@240 — it falls back to 144/120Hz or even 640×480. The fix is to inject a hand-repaired EDID as kernel firmware.
