It’s been years since I spent the night at a good strip club, but I’m a cheap bastard and clubs never kept my interest after first $200 pissed away. I’ve always wondered what the real allure is that keeps some folks coming back time and again. Assuming lots of dudes drop $1000 to make silly small talk and come home with a hard on and blue balls, you could use that $1000 more “effectively,” say a bath or shower with a cute escort and maybe a 60 min massage. Maybe people have lines they don’t cross and I respect that. But seems like $1000 at a club is just a horrific waste of money. For basically nothing. And clubs are anything but relaxing. Always haggling etc.

Heading to Borgata mid week next week with my 2 sons. I have 2 free Standard Queen rooms on Bonvoy points. They are now sending me emails that I can request upgrades to a Classic Queen ($26), Restore Classic Queen ($40) or Fiore Queen ($88). Not going there to spend time in the room, but is the Classic Queen or Restore Classic a significantly nicer room than the basic Standard Queen? I’ve never had a bad room there so seems kind of a waste of money. I do like a quiet floor though.
