The Happy Accident
The Roland TB-303 was released in 1981 as a commercial failure. It was originally designed to replace real bass guitarists for solo musicians. However, the machine sounded completely unrealistic, and it was quickly discontinued.
In 1985, a Chicago group named Phuture bought a cheap, secondhand 303. Without reading the manual, they began randomly twisting the knobs while a pattern was playing. Instead of a bass guitar, the machine produced a squelching, hypnotic, and completely alien sound.
This single studio mishap directly birthed "Acid Tracks" (1987) and launched a multi-billion dollar electronic dance music subculture
In May 2018 ahead of the Champions League final, football star Sadio Mané bought 300 Liverpool shirts and sent them directly to his tiny home village of Bambali in Senegal so local kids and fans could wear them to watch the big game.
The Story Behind the Shirts
The Location: Bambali, a rural village in Senegal where Mané grew up playing football.
The Reason: He wanted his childhood friends and villagers to feel part of the big event and saved them from heartbreak after remembering watching the 2005 final there.
The Gesture: He spent his own money to ship and distribute 300 official club jerseys

Having issues with profile curation.
Have submitted photos to clarify my age. Confirmed.
Now I can't curate what people can see on my profile. Everything is greyed out.
After every update I have to redo 'curate my profile ' this is no exception. Except it now won't let me.

I always delete my notifications after I have read them, never stay more than 1 day
Now for the last couple of days, reddit gives them back to me, at random times.
Why is that? It's frustrating!

The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament
A field of 268 boats competed in the 2021 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament (the 63rd annual event), which took place in June 2021.
That year featured a record-shattering total prize purse of $4,746,225, where the tournament was ultimately won by the boat Widespread, netting its crew over $1.6 million for a 656.5-pound blue marlin.
This intensive multi-day event takes place off the coast of Morehead City, North Carolina, drawing elite crews from around the world.
