Can someone be honest about whats the test is really like?

Im genuinely confused some people are saying you need kali linux and other products to be fluent in and others saying you don’t need any of that. Can someone just be honest about the test? I feel out of my depths here and would really appreciate someone cluing me in on things.

I am a little nervous I I got a job that allowed me a waiver for 90 days to get my Com TIA. I was a data analyst for about six months, Temp job at my college, but it was more so working on websites like qualtricks and watermarks and Excel sheets. I bought the Comptia test certificate plus retake and then I also bought a Udemy course DIONS COURSE, on it as well. When I looked at the study guide it labeled a bunch of equipment and software to assist candidates as they prepare for the certificate. I’m very confused because the person who hired me said I could just look up videos on YouTube and pass the test so now I’m feeling a little overwhelmed that I am pretty unprepared and I have to take this test in three or four weeks can anyone give me advice or tell me that it’s not as scary as it seems.
