Philo Billietiae Propagation

Hello, I got this cutting of Philodendron Billietiae but its so spread out that I’m having trouble putting it in a propagation jar/ or any vessel/container for that matter.
Can anyone help me out here on how to propagate this in water? The owner said it has already been in water for 2 months & would probably need about a month more for roots to start showing up.

Should i cut this up into 2 cuttings and propagate in water then? Please see last image of how much of the stem is in water currently, i’m worried that the leaf coming from last node might rot since stem is submerged in water too. Please also show me where to cut between the nodes to divide this plant.

I have chunky perlite & moss as well, let me know if that is more preferred to propagate these.
