CME U2MIDI Pro - multiple devices on Windows - Halp!
I am having a terrible time trying to make two different CME U2 MIDI Pros work together on Windows. No matter what I do, applications - including CME's UxMIDI Tools - get confused about the device names. I have named mine Left and Right, and it's a crap shoot as to which will be identified as what. Usually Left is identified as Right - 2, though sometimes that is reversed.
This happens even on a freshly formatted machine, with no previous driver history. I have been working with Zhao at CME and while he has been taking this seriously, at the moment there is no solution that works.
Has anyone else hit this brick wall? And if there is no solution - are there any other USB to MIDI "cords" that work correctly? (I have two in my junk drawer that mistranslate sone messages.)
