I just received confirmation from SA that Model 3 premium RWD are coming into the port of Halifax, at least for the east coast deliveries.
It was also confirmed that they will be starting transport towards the end of this month for rail/truck transport.
The Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP) officially launched on February 16, 2026.
According to the official program page, the initiative has $2.275 billion in total funding over 5 years. As of May 15, 2026, $2.153 billion remains available — meaning Canadian consumers have already claimed approximately $122 million in incentives in just three months.
EVAP Eligibility & Incentives:
-Qualifying vehicles must be manufactured in Canada or in countries with a free trade agreement with Canada.
Incentives:
- Up to $5,000 for battery-electric (BEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV)
- Up to $2,500 for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV)
The program is off to a strong start, with significant early uptake from consumers.

It is a proper refresh without losing the magic that made me want a Tesla in the first place.
