I'm posting this on behalf of my friend because she's not on Reddit. I'm actually the one who found the original post here and encouraged her to sign up because I genuinely thought it was a great idea.

She was contacted by one of the organizers, and later by George, and was told they had found a potential match for her. They scheduled her date for July 5.

Because she took it seriously, she planned her entire weekend around it. She cleared her schedule, decided not to travel, and even avoided pursuing other dating opportunities because she didn't want to end up canceling on someone if this blind date turned out to be a good match.

She was genuinely excited. She even answered the first phone call in the middle of a meeting because she didn't want to miss it. Since then, she's been telling friends and family how excited she was because she loved the concept of a real blind date.

Now... complete silence.

Her calls aren't being answered, her texts haven't been replied to, and she has no idea whether the event is still happening.

What makes this especially disappointing is that when this event was first posted on Reddit, a lot of people criticized the organizers because participants weren't being paid for appearing. I was one of the people defending the concept because I thought it was refreshing compared to dating apps and genuinely believed they were trying to create something meaningful.

Now I feel terrible because I'm the one who convinced my friend to sign up.

She's now left looking foolish when everyone asks, "So how did the blind date go?" and she has nothing to tell them because she was simply ghosted.

I'm not posting this to attack anyone. I'm genuinely wondering:

* Has anyone else been scheduled for **Table Two Together – Love at First Bite** and experienced the same thing?

* Has anyone actually gone on one of these dates recently?

* Is there an explanation or has communication just stopped?

I still think it's a fantastic concept, but if plans change or a match falls through, I think participants deserve a quick message instead of being left wondering.
