Doesn’t get much better than this! Mid Summer Christmas trees.

Loaded my pickup truck the other day with true native Christmas trees. Ready for the best fireworks show just in time for mid summer Christmas. Who else is celebrating the 250th birthday of GOD’S COUNTRY?!

Neighbor told me our native garden is ruining the property value 🦋

Ruining the neighborhood one butterfly at a time 😂. Stokes Aster with a sweet Eastern Tiger Swallowtail visitor

First the Honeybees and now THIS?!

A new i n v a s i v e bee from Europe moved in and is hogging all of my native hedgenettle. He keeps attacking all of the honeybees that even think about getting a sweet drink while his girlfriends sit and watch! What a brute! Such behavior itself is invasive to my native garden that respects all genders. The European Wool Carder Bee must bee stopped.

I think our Bradford Pear has Cedar-Quince Rust.

:( I saw these projections and thought, wow that’s a weird way for the tree to flower. But a little digging introduced me to the world of rust and woof.

Landscaper planted the pear about a month or two ago and this suddenly started like last week. This is a first…!

I want to do a cutback but I feel like that’ll spread the spores more. Anyone have any tips? It’s not a fruiting tree, so I’m not too worried, but I also don’t want to infect any neighbors or anything, if possible.
