I met a guy on Hinge in December, and we didn’t meet in person until February. Between then, we texted every day and started FaceTiming daily from January. Whenever we were free, we’d call or FaceTime.
In February, I asked if he wanted to be exclusive, and he said no. Out of anger, I made out with someone at a club but immediately told him the next day. He forgave me.
A month later, things were fine, but in April, he started pulling away. Less texting, fewer calls. He said he was busy and couldn’t keep up the constant communication, especially as our honeymoon phase was “coming to an end”. I explained that I need more connection, and he said he’d try. Nothing changed. We went on one date the entire month of April, and both of us knowing how high tension things were in the relationship, he proceeded to ask if he could get with another girl when he goes on vacation next month.
Out of frustration, I went home with someone else after a night out. I told him a week later, and he said I cheated and betrayed him. He refuses to see me or talk about it seriously but called me a few nights ago to sleep over at his place.
I love him, but I’m unsure if it’s worth fighting for. Do you think it is possible for us to repair things? - and if so, how do I go about this?
EDIT: He got back onto hinge the day I told him about me sleeping with someone else. I begged him to take me back and he refuses, saying that he really loved me but needs space. I want to make this work, but he’s making it very difficult. How is space going to change things if he isn’t willing to discuss the situation and see my perspective at all?
