The art of outplaying assassins

I know this is a common question. I have no experience playing with an instrument before I got my first guitar. The only experience I had was with keyboards back when I was 9 years old for like a school year. After that, not much experience with music other than singing.
So my progress so far has only been some basic strumming and chord changes, while watching justinguitar. I've tried learning some songs that I like, but I still struggle from them. I still have a hard time doing the basic open chords from the first 2-3 frets.
(Possible un)Realistically, what should I do to master the fundamentals and get really better at guitar? I want to be good enough to play at gigs and even write my own songs, even if it takes a lot of time and effort.
I'm a lefty who strings his right handed stratocaster upside down for me to play it left handed. I'm looking for a left handed electric guitar, there are only 2 music stores here in my city but they don't sell any lefties. Can you guys recommend me any online stores where I can buy a good one? My price range is around 10k.

Any way I could fix this? I had to bend it a little to get a cleaner sound. I'm still a beginner and this is my first guitar. Bought it about a month ago.
Song really goes hard. Especially the drums and guitar.
