Odd tail?

Odd tail?

We have an 18wk old lab. I noticed his tail still hangs straight down. I know it's normal for puppies and he's still young but from my memory, our other labs tails weren't this relaxed. It's like a horse tail. He wags it without issues.

Sorry for the bad pic, he never stands still for long.

What's great problem you've had

Mine is - I'm constantly having to clean out my closet of clothed that are too big. I'm tired of collecting them and taking them to a donation place.

Puppy blues or actual regret?

We have two labradors, absolutely love them and we'll behaved. Adopted an 8wk old 3weeks ago, so he's now 11 weeks. I don't like him. He's not cuddly, he bites everything. Not a nibble but full on jumps on the other dogs and clings to them with his teeth. Tries to do the same with the rest of us. He knows how to sit, lay down and touch (my hand) so when he gets bitey, I try to redirect his brain because it seems like he gets a little crazy. If he gets too amped, je goes for a nap, even if it's only been 30 min of wake time.

He is on a strict schedule. Nap, potty, 45min-1hr of training, play, mentalexercise, potty and nap. I dread him waking up. My 13yr doesn't want much to do with him. The 18yr old plays with him amd then leaves him with me because he won't stop attacking.

What am I going to do when the teenage stage hits with teething? My other two dogs were never like this.

Am I in the midst of puppy blues or am I in over my head with a dog that needs more than I cam give him?

*edit to update the 45min. It's not 45.min of training. It's a few minutes of training but mostly play or letting him do whatever (under supervision)

** update - thank you all for sharing tips, tricks, ideas or just commiserating and then telling me your dog ended up wonderful. I posted when I was at my most overwhelmed. I have kept him on a leash or in a pen all day and already the house is calmer. The older dogs are relaxing, I am not stressed over listening to them play, frozen carrots and applesauce have saved the day as well. We definitely all fed off each other's energy. I also enrolled him in puppy class and having my kids take him, so they can learn to interact with him

Vision insurance help get a refund?

Took my kid to the eye dr and they fitted him for contacts. Short story, the communication is not there, we don't have glasses nor contacts and it's been weeks. I refuse to keep calling and leaving a message. Can vision insurance help me get my money back and their monry back so I can take him elsewhere?

I've have a subscription for years, never had issues. I have a few Playlist but not many and they're usually created for something (Christmas, Halloween, party etc)

My biggest gripe is when I listen to my soundtrack. It seems it should play all the songs I usually request and for the most part it does. However, weeks ago I requested one Cypress Hill song and suddenly Alexa thinks this is my whole personality. Anytime I request my soundtrack, it starts off with cypress hill and every 3rd song is from that genre. I ask it to skip every time and it still thinks I want to listen to the music.

I have an 8wk old lab and realized I did not get enough toys. I do rotate them so he doesn't have access to all of them at the same time but he is still mischievous. So I gave him an empty water bottle. He loved it and I could here where exactly he was (other side of ottoman) and what he was chewing. I then put some treats in it. Poor little guys head exploded, he went crazy chasing and chewing it. Another time I tried cardboard boxes. I did watch diligently to make sure he didn't eat any and took it away when he made enough progress to pull pieces off.

What other ideas do you have?

We brought our 3rd puppy home this weekend. He's nothing like my other 2, way more rambunctious and we're only on day 4.

The weekend was a hot mess of biting and play attacking the older dogs. I work from home and tried keeping a routine. It worked until everyone arrived home and there was so much going on.

I have a pen next to me in the office and I play Phil Collins (don't judge, I was desperate and read He, Bob Marley and Fleetwood Mac)

How can I get him used to sleeping in a pen with all of us around? Do I turn a tv on during the day so he hears all sorts of noises?

We are working on Crate training but I can't bring it all over the house with me so it was 30 min total yesterday.
