What were your signs when you started to notice that your body and mind were really starting to recover with CPAP treatment?

When I was diagnosed with sleep apnea, my doctor advised me to avoid high-intensity sports because my symptoms indicated that my body and mind were constantly in overdrive.

I got a CPAP machine 2 months ago and after the first week I immediately got sick. Now that I've had the machine for 2 months, I went to do 3 high-intensity sports a week for the first time and I immediately got sick again. Either my body was overloaded or there was some other reason for the illness, because I didn't get sick this often before the treatment.

I would therefore like to ask you how you notice that your body and mind are finally starting to recover? What were the concrete things you noticed. Even the most special ones? (because I didn't doze off or feel overwhelmingly tired)

How does low t affect recovery? How to improve recovery?

(I couldn't find a channel where testosterone deficiency issues are discussed exclusively, if there is one, please let me know!)

I was diagnosed with low testosterone about 6 months ago. So low that it didn't even reach the reference values. Apparently, my testosterone level corresponds to the levels of a 70-year-old man.

To the point. When I go to do high-intensity sports, I feel like my body is still going through the motions for several hours afterwards, and my sleep the next night always suffers. It takes 4 days to recover from one sports performance. If I don't listen to my body, my sleep will quickly disappear, and if I don't stop then I'll get sick.

What could I do? How could I improve my recovery? I would like to exercise several times a week, almost every day. And that would be really important to me because I'm morbidly obese.

What made you eat yourself so heavily?

I've wondered what made me eat myself so fat. In my case, I believe it was low self-esteem, an insecure childhood, and a constant lack of acceptance. I learned as a child to steal money from my parents and buy candy or junk food at the nearby gas station. I had problems with alcohol when I was younger, so I think I could have become an alcoholic or a drug addict, but somehow I ended up eating to control my negative feelings.

It's ironic that I was bullied for being fat when I was young, including my parents, but looking back at pictures, I was only slightly fat. Maybe they were trying to toughen me up and lose the little curves I had. The bullying only reinforced my negative self-talk and drove me deeper.

Cpap makes me more tired?

I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea at the beginning of the year. However, I have had exceptional symptoms because I haven't been dozing off during the day, but on the contrary, even if I wanted to sleep, I haven't been able to fall asleep.

I got a CPAP machine about a month ago. The first week was spent sick, the next two weeks I learned to sleep but the mask was bad. Now I changed the mask and I've learned to sleep with it for two weeks. Sometimes it works well and sometimes not at all. In the last month, I have also suffered from an extraordinary amount of anxiety and its symptoms.

Now I feel like I'm maybe more tired than before I started CPAP treatment. Is this possible? Could it be that my body and mind have been in survival mode for years because I haven't had proper rest and now that I do, the tired is worse? Am I stressing about the effectiveness of the treatment or am I sleeping so superficially because of the mask?

Can anxiety cause burnout?

The last few years have been quite a roller coaster for me beacuse of anxiety. The exhaustion bothers me more and sometimes less. However, my job is not as stressful as before where I experienced burnout and now I work part-time because I am finishing my degree at university.

However, I constantly feel tired, my interest in everything has disappeared, libido is also non-existent. etc. My blood tests are also fine. I can't think of any other reason for this exhaustion than the severe anxiety that has bothered me for several years?

Olen kaupunkilainen, mutta haluaisin muuttaa asumaan peltojen keskelle. Miksi?

How to dress smart casual at work when you are obese?

I've been thinking about how I could dress more professionally and professionally than wearing chinos and a sweatshirt. I've been googling and searching Pinterest for dressing tips in vain, when everyone there is so skinny. It feels like you can't even keep your shirt tucked in when your stomach hangs so unsightly.

How do you dress in the office? Or are there any social media channels you can recommend that I can get some tips on or do you have any good pictures that I can get inspiration from?

I got my device today. I got the basic model without any special features. Any practical tips for a beginner? About the position of the tube or useful accessories? Also how soon did you get used to sleeping with your CPAP device and how quickly did you notice changes in your condition?
