Luca Cagnoni days until Sharks opening night (Honorable Mention: Joel Ward)
I have a lot of faith in Cags. I’m really excited for him this season
big shout out to Wardo too. Legend for us during playoff time really rooting for him as a coach
Sharks legend Al Iafrate days until Sharks opening night
Kiefer Sherwood days until Sharks opening night
Easily one of my favorite non-Sharks, a guy you hated but wanted on your team and we got him. Love his play so he gets three photos that fit encapsulate his essence
Let’s say we HAD to pick, what is the argument for Pohlkamp versus Cagnoni becoming an NHL star or at the very least regular?
I am not saying necessarily one will hit one will bust, both could hit, both could “bust”, but the reason I am comparing these two, kinda singling them out, is that they both play a unique style of offense first, both are much later picks in the draft who exceeded all expectations, but haven’t really played much at the NHL level (or none at all).
I‘ve been a fan of Cagnoni since he was drafted, and obviously he has has experience on Pohlkamp, so I am inclined to say him just because I’ve seen more, but that doesn’t make me any less a fan of Pohlkamp

Original Shark
Alexei Yegorov days until Sharks opening night
He played 11 games with the Sharks, putting up six points across the 95-96 and 96-97 seasons. All three of his goals came in one game against the Calgary Flames. He cared little for American hockey, and wished to return to Europe after being sent down from the Sharks. He played around Europe, and during this time, developed a major drug habit.
A lack of real leadership in his Russian teams and his lavish lifestyle, he began taking heroin, and after treatment, he relapsed in 2002. He was beaten by his drug dealers after incurring massive debts, and he jumped from a window to escape, and fell to his death.
A fascinating and incredibly tragic story that I think more Sharks fans should know about. Also, he who shall not be named will get this day back when he is off that wretched team. RIP Alexei
