TSH is 5.030 and dealing with drowsiness and brain fog

hello everyone I'm a 22 y/o Male with around 90 KG (6 feet tall) not exercising at all from last 6 months or so i had this brain fog issue for a while now because of that can't focus on my studies. and earlier this year i did my Vit d test and it was 27 (which was low) so I started taking D3 4000 IU daily (without K2) and it fixed the brain fog and drowsiness problem for a while but from April it started again so I did the next logical step of doing my blood work (CBC), thyroid and Iron (serum) test
the results came today
my IRON is 119 ug/dl
HG is 12.8 (little less)
T3 1.02
T4 9.71
TSH 5.030 (is little too much)
apart from my plates were also a lil high around 471 10^3/ul

i just want to know if this little raise in TSH can result in all these problems of sleepiness drowsiness brain fog not able to concentrate and taking a second to register info in ur brain.
(ps: my mother also has hypothyroidism, and she was diagnosed few months after i was born)
im really tired of this and as well as frustrated your help would be much appreciated

Do i have Iron Deficiency?

Hey guys, 22M here.

So last year I got my Vitamin D checked as well as B12 and it came out to be 27 ng/ml which is deficient, and for B12 it was above 300. so Started taking 4000 IU of D3 daily for about 2 months and honestly felt amazing — focus was back, no drowsiness, felt like myself again. Was taking it without K2 btw.

Then I stopped thinking my levels must be fine now. And the drowsiness and sleepiness came back again within days. Heavy eyes, brain fog, feel sleep deprived even after a full night's sleep, and this weird processing delay where I'm holding something and my brain takes a second to register what it is.

Got a CBC and thyroid test done today and some things are flagged:

  • HGB: 12.8 g/dL
  • MCH: 24.6 (flagged low)
  • MCHC: 31.0 (flagged low)
  • Platelets: 471 (flagged high)
  • TSH (Ultrasensitive) : 5.030 (high)

Still waiting on my serum iron results. Mom has thyroid so that's worth checking.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What was the root cause for you? DO i have IRON Def
