DMC Inconsistencies
I posted about this piece a few months ago after some issues with a canvas tear. Ended up fully restarting, and now seeing some variance in the background thread. Using DMC pearle cotton, so i expected good color consistency, but it looks more marled than i envisioned. Would love some opinions if you think its suppppper distracting or just to keep going!

Schloss Fuschl? Or somewhere else?
Hi! I have a business trip in London in early September, so hoping to tack a few days on ahead of time elsewhere in Europe. Was looking at Salzburg and Rosewood Schloss Fuschl, but any other ideas? Open really to anywhere easy to get to direct from NYC and quickish travel to London.

Help!
I had an issue with a dye lot so frogged, then accidentally made a hole and it kept getting bigger as I frogged around it. I’ve patched and restitched 4 times now and I’m scared this is the best I can get. Should I just go with it and hope I’m more critical than others, or just fully abandon and paint a new canvas and fully start over?

Finisher recs??
My first big project! Stocking for my soon to be born niece, featuring their family dog! By no means is it perfect—I tore velvet out of 100 places and wish I had found better colors—but it will do! I put so much pressure on because i want it to be an heirloom piece, so I stuck with DMC cotton for washability and sturdiness.
Any recs for finishing?? I’ve been scoping out Rittenhouse but would love any thoughts, as I’ve only done self finishing to date!
