Ideas for my Region?

Greetings I am TropicalByte and I am currently working on a Fakemon Region and I come here to ask for suggestions for the dex

The project is of an original region with a pending name, based on the entirety of Europe, but specifically during the Industrial Revolution/1700-1999 and with a heavy steampunk aesthetic, it will be set in it's own world so no Darkest Day or Pokemon War shenanigans from Galar and Kalos

I already have drafts for Starters, Early Route Rodent/Grass Type/Bug Type, Regional Bird etc etc

I need some help filling up the dex so, please do give your ideas for Pokemon, including New Evos, Regional Forms and Evos and Convergents

What would a dedicated Support Mega need to see common use?

Idk if this counts as a theorymon post but considering my last post got smited for asking a similar what if scenario then I'll just post it today

So Mega's in the metas from observation are almost always offensive beasts, hitting hard and either outspeeding or tanking, with support Mega's rarely if at all seeing the spotlight

Victreebel is good but not great, Scovillian is pretty good but not that common and Audino is Audino

And even then the first 2, while mostly used for support dish out good damage while Audino has seen some use with a Simple Beam strategy

So I'm curious, what would a dedicated Support Mega look like?

What I'm considering a Dedicated Support is a Pokemon who's main job isn't to deal damage (it can do damage but not the best), but is mainly to support an ally or the team

Specifically with direct support such as healing wish, wish, heal pulse, heal bell, and screens or utility like Rapid Spin, Pivot, Taunt, Encore, Hazards, Hazard control, speed control, Helping Hand, Rage Powder/Follow Me, After You, etc etc (ex: Alolamola, Cresselia, Clodsire, Umbreon, Clefable, Chansey)

So again I must ask, how would you make a Mega Pokemon dedicated to the support role, that allows it to compete for the Mega Slot/Opportunity Cost vs Mega's like Zard Y, E-Floette, Raichu Y, Staraptor etc

I'm allowing custom abilities just don't go

Btw quick note when I mention singles and doubles, I am mainly referring to Showdowns OU and Doubles OU formats, Beedeeyo wasn't made with the current Champions format in mind though if it were in said format it would be fairly decent

First Contact now doubles in power instead of 1.5 due to the harder requirement vs the learners of Boltbeak and Fishous Rend + weaker offensive type and the abundance of dark types in the doubles meta

Looses Gyro Ball (probably useless), instead now gains besides Earthpower, Wide Guard, Dazzling Gleam and Focus Blast

Wide Guard for utility allowing it to potentially play a more supportive Trickroom role, and Dazzling Gleam and Focus Blast both for coverage, and DG specifically for spread

My intent is high uu to low ou in singles and somewhere in ou for doubles formats, hope the coverage isn't too busted

Custom Beheeyem Evolution, "Beedeeyo"

I'm too lazy and or burnt out for a proper posed drawing so here's a simple reference art thingy

Credits: Main art by me, the small doodle on the top right corner of the first image is by my best friend Berry, and the old r/stunfisk theorymon Thursday image is also made by me, too lazy to edit it

This is Beedeeyo, my fan evolution of Beheeyem, here's some uh info about it

Beedeeyo's name comes from corrupting the abbreviated science trope, BDO, aka Big Dumb Object, following the same science trope abbreviation corruption trend that Elgyem (LGM/Little Green Men) and Beheeyem (BEM/Bug-Eyed Monster) set

For design references/origins itself, the wide forehead is meant to resemble a UFO's disk shape, the elongated fingers are meant to resemble lasers and the long flowing trench coat with a glowing interior is meant to resemble tractor beams, more noticeable with the green interior with the shiny

The forehead has 7 markings, due to Elgyem having 3, Beheeyem having 5, so 7 is a natural progression, additionally the swirls on the markings are also meant to resemble a brain

It being Purple is moreso a design preference but I got it from color wheel stuff, with Elgyms blue green, Beheeyems brown (orange) and purple being around equal distances from eachother on the color wheel

The name for Beedeeyo's new signature move, First Contact, is a general reference to aliens, specifically them making the "first contact" with humanity in sci-fi media, no, it doesn't make contact

Beheeyem has always been one of my favorite Pokemon but it's always been uh

Dookie, I mean c'mon, PU and below since debut gen is insane

Some issues I personally noticed with Beheeyem are

  1. Being outclassed, even in it's debut gen it's already outclassed, specifically as a slow strong special attacker. Looking at the B/W era, Reuniclus not only had better defense with the same special attack, and slower (if you want Trickroom) it already has better overall abilities, yes Analytic can be super strong in the right scenarios it's just that Beheeyem doesn't have the bulk to consistently capitalize off it

  2. Poor Defenses. Yeah that's kinda it, 75/75/95 defenses are not bad in a bubble, but if you consider one of the 2 rolls Beheeyem wants to be (Trickroom sweeper / Analytic wall breaker), it's not enough for the latter role, and in the recent gens, there are much bulkier and even sometimes stronger Trickroom special sweepers like Bloodmoon Ursaluna and Hatterene

  3. Mono Psychic, being Mono Psychic is not bad but not favorable, with the most noteable mono Psychics types in competitive (I think) being Alakazam, Gothitelle, again Reuniclus, Male Meowstic, and I think regular Necrozma, who are strong because of their stats or abilities not because of their type

Fixes to Problem 1 and 2:

Giving Beheeyem an evolution would allow it a second chance in every department, with better stats and abilities.

Before that, for this segment it will be dubbed "Beedeeyo", following the same trope abbreviation corruption of it's predecessors, being a corruption of the abbreviation BDO, or Big Dumb Object

Starting with Stats, just give it general buffs and mildly min-max it, removing points from attack to give to other stats. This general power boost allows Beedeeyo to catch up with the recent gens stronger min-maxing/general stats. Now with a solid 115/100/105 defensive spread, this should allow Beedeeyo to comfortably tank most attacks. Additionally, slightly boosting it's special attack up to 140 allows it to hit like a truck, hitting harder then Chi-Yu, Raging Bolt and Hatterene, at the cost of either being slower or being poorer in a specific defense or HP stat

Fixes to Problems 2 and 3:

Beedeeyo gains the Steel type on top of it's Psychic type, bringing a rare type to the table, only shared with the lower tier Bronzong, the Mythical Jirachi, Metagross, and both forms of Solgaleo, as well as being the first dedicated Special Attacker of the group, carving its own niche against the powerful physical attackers Metagross and Solgaleo

Additionally, Beedeeyo's new abilities allow it to differentiate itself against it's peers

Analytic stays, giving Beedeeyo strong wall breaker potential outside of Trickroom, now having the bulk to tank hits and hit back with Analytic boosted moves

Levitate allows a more defensive build, turning 1 of it's 4 weaknesses into an immunity, useful against Pokemon like the Ursalunas, Garchomp etc

And Finally, Neuroforce, the former signature ability of Ultra Necrozma allows Beedeeyo to do tons of damage with it's good variety of coverage moves that have minimal overlap, especially in Trickroom if you prefer offense and don't expect to be caught outside of it with Analytic as a failsafe, additionally, Expanding Force.

(I know it's the signature ability of Ultra Necrozma, but it's description, name and Japanese name (Brain Power/Force) doesn't imply anything too signature/exclusive to Necrozma)

Earth Power allows more general coverage, and Gyro Ball because obligation to add more moves of new type and general power against special bulky Pokemon

And finally, First Contact allows a strong reliable move in Trickroom that becomes weaker outside of it, giving a Beheeyem some options in terms of Psychic type attacks, Psychic for reliable all situation damage, First Contact for raw damage in Trickroom or Expanding Force in Psychic terrain strats

Note, I'd distribute this move to other Alien like Pokemon but a friend made me realize that would include Deoxys so uhhhh no

Some weaknesses I can see with Beedeeyo being it's weaknesses to Fire, Dark and situationally Ground, types of relevant threats such as Chi-Yu, Incineroar, Garchomp etc

It's lack of Spread Moves outside of Expanding Force in Psy Terrain will only allow it to hit 1 target at a time in doubles, not the biggest weakness but still noteworthy

Not being able to run all it's coverage moves at once, potentially allowing it to be walled by specific type combos depending on the moveset

Honestly I just don't like Potion, due to a multitude of factors

The sprite is just a minimally modified Flask sprite, a first for Earclacks, even just an extended throat(?) would be good

The mechanic is cool on paper but bad in execution, it's mostly a worse Sword, yes it ramped faster but in more battles, this inconsistent low reward ramping method will be bad for it, it ramps slower than Sword and more inconsistently, also I don't like the triangle Potion pools they look weird

If it got an updated weapon/pool sprite, and had an additional mechanic (let's say, when picking up a pool, it will gain a small temporary swing spin buff), it would be pretty interesting and fun but rn it's, meh
