These Mormons knocked on my door. Its been a bit of a vulnerable time in my life, and I could use a community. I dont believe in god but, you know, I could fake it if its a nice and supportive community

So recently ive moved into a new apartment that was really cheap, and I was living with roommates who were wanting their house back (I wasnt blood related but they were). However, this apartment is really sketchy im realizing now that im here. Homeless people sleep outside of the apartments and in the laundry room.
Is it worth it to own a fire-arm? I live in a easy to own a gun state, so it would not be an issue getting one. Ive already got a door security wedge stopper, but dont think that will do much if anything happens. Or would that be inviting trouble?
They didnt beep loud enough for me to hear until the death beeps started :(
