Because of the constant layoffs: Is the software engineering industry turning into freelance/contract gig work?
Hwo long can you honestly expect to stay at your current gig? 6 months? 12 months? If engineers leave on their own after 2 years on average, are the companies just pre-emptively kicking them out so they have the scheduling prerogative?
