Artfight attack for my lovely wife

Artfight attack for my lovely wife

I fucking hate artfight tho wym 15.5 points this took me 12 hours between designing and tattooing it 😭 fucked up and evil

This is Nylla! My wife’s current DND character- shes a yuan ti woman who is going through some,,, growing pains,,, as her body slowly becomes more and more plant.

Done with an 0803RL and a 1011MG I kept it low at 5.9V the entire time. I think looking back I would have darkened up the right side of her hair to match the left closer and maybe darkened up her brow a bit more but otherwise I’m quite happy with it.

Week 7 SAD (Sick Ass Displacer beast)

Coming back simple but timeless 🙂‍↕️
Had taken a break from the fake skins to start putting together a DND themed trad repeatable flash sheet and now I, Booboo the fucking clown, have decided that the coolest idea EVER would be to order huge slabs of fake skin to make INTO said flash sheets and then put them in a frame/shadowbox. Holy dollar bucks (I will never financially recover from this)
Lines/Eye/Mouth are 1205 6.5v 4.2 stroke
Black shading all done 1011MG 5.9v 4.2 stroke (I know Booboo the clown should have swapped for smaller spaces I thought I had it under control okay 😭 I wanted it baby butt smooth)

Anyways what we think? How we feel? My lines could be better same with the edges of the shading again especially in small spots but do we think its passable to use as my flash sheets? Gimme feedback 🫶🤲

Baby’s First Dot work Part 2

My lovely beautiful gorgeous friend who will be stalking this post (Hi ily thank you for your skin) so graciously offered me a premium chunk of their arm to practice on 🤍

This was done in 2:13:90 with a 5RL at 6.5 for the spiders, eye and nose then swapped for a 3RL at 5.5 for the lamb itself (please let me know if anyone thinks I should have done the dots at a different speed I was pretty torn on what to try and went where I was more comfortable).

This was a very fun project and I’m excited to see how this heals and lasts with time as it is my first time playing with a design like this, at this size, and with dots. The photos are also much darker than the actual tattoo came out I feel. I am not good with the studios polarized camera and it is evil and it frightens me 😔

Would love to hear thoughts and if anyone has any insights on how it will look in time/things to look out for if I do something like this again please share!

Week 4 Moomin Freehand practice!

Everything done freehand with a 1203RL played around with my stroke started at 4.2 and dropped to 3.6 as time went on with my speed at 6.5 for most everything. Can not say I am a fan of 3RL 😵‍💫
There is still quite a bit of space left that I want to fill it but I’m not sure what to do with it atp because they feel like such awkward spaces.
Freehanding is a whole new kind of terrifying I don’t know how there are people who do entire tattoos on actual people with no stencil I felt like I was blind and these are characters I’ve drawn and doodled on the margins of my homework in school for years 😭 0/10 very scary and its not even real.

Would love thoughts and advice this was my first time using a 3RL for more than like 15 minutes and genuinely felt like I was completely lost for most of the process.✌️

Critique and Advise My First (almost) 3 Weeks

**The only original designs are the SPIDER EYE LAMB, the secretary bird and the match stick**

The match stick at the end was done on my mentor literally 5 days into me touching a machine 😵‍💫 she likes to collect firsts and I was absolutely terrified lmao

Would love to hear thoughts
I think my current struggles are

  1. Getting my shit actually saturated/and or packed well (I’m thinking its due to hand speed as I can feel myself being inconsistent but if someone can see something I don’t from these I need thoughts on what to correct)

  2. Staying patient and not getting frustrated and rushing through the end of the process or putting it away and coming back to it later. I’ve noticed I’ll hit a point where I get frustrated (ex the woman with her back turned I didn’t have a good reference for her hair and crashed out and then when it came time to shade her body I was so checked out of the piece I speed-ran it.) or I’ll get so close to the end that I’ll start to catch myself rushing and making mistakes (a LOT of the circles on the WHA spells fell victim to this 😔)

And probably more but I’m too brain fried to remember what I’ve been struggling with those are the main 2 I get annoyed by lmao.
I love my mentor very much but most of the feedback I get at the shop is just looks good :D and then I sit there looking at my mistakes like but how do I FIX it what did I even DO akjfjalfjka

Also any tips for getting the stencil off the fake skin after its already dried :,))) I struggled so much with the Pokémon because I could not sEe with it and it generally just annoys me to see when I’m finished

Thank you much to everyone who bothered to read this

TLDR: why am I bad at this please advise thank you LMAO
