Week 3

Entering my 3rd week of no sends, definitely scrolling too much on here but definitely more engaged and motivated at work again.

Did notice some withdrawal yesterday in the form of just feeling down for no real reason at all and was hard to shake off. I assume that’s my brain wanting the constant dopamine I used to give it.

On another note, I opened a new credit card at the start of this journey to get travel points after 3 months - looking forward to taking a vacation something I haven’t really been able to do comfortably the last couple of years due to findom.

Hope everyone has a good day, one day at a time. Always happy to connect!

2 Weeks In

Made it two weeks which is by far my longest streak over the last couple of years - feeling good and surprised by how much money I still have from last check.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Day 13

Feeling more focused and less distracted by findom in general. One of the biggest motivators for me was being more productive at work as I found I was spending much of my day messaging girls and even started to put off calls and other work related things because I was so distracted/invested in this headspace.

Urges have subsided quite a bit, at least today. It’s nice not being scared to open my banking app and being in control of my finances. Just a few observations. As always I’m happy to connect with anyone who wants to talk.

Day 11

Hope everyone has a good week! I’ve managed to make it 11 days so far which isn’t a record or anything but proud of this round of sobriety nonetheless. Keeping a busy schedule this week to avoid urges, and trying to stay focused on work. Feel free to connect if you’d like!

Feel Free to Connect

Just as the title says, feel free to message if you’d like to connect and talk recovery or anything else - I think it’s important to be plugged in the community so am always down to chat.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday, one day at a time!

Day 6

Checking in that I’ve officially made it 6 days without sending. The urges haven’t been too bad but do still find myself scrolling too much. Trying to stay connected with people irl and on forums for support.

I decided to stop when I tallied up how much I spent this year and was shocked by the numbers month to month. It was painful to do but necessary, I recommend others do the same who are trying to quit.

Will keep checking in from time to time!

Finally Ready

I’ve been doing this for a few years, initially off and on but became more consistent over the last two years. I used chatGPT to add up all of my sending this year, which was painful but necessary. I’m truly blown away at some of the monthly figures as I never would’ve guessed I had sent so much (up to $2500, most months between $500-$1000).

I’m looking forward to having that extra money for myself moving forward. Would love to connect more with this community.
