Okay I’m going to jump right into it , a month and a half ago my friends and I decided to book a hotel in a city near us for my birthday. One of my friends lost her job and of course became very stressed. We went to dinner and we went over her financials, she had money for her bills for a month and a really good amount saved up that she was insisting on not using.

A couple of days before my birthday she messaged our friend group chat saying she can’t afford to go to the city and celebrate my birthday. (I forgot to mention shes going to Vegas) I even offer us to stay somewhere in my town so she wouldn’t have to worry about money as much, she declined . Going out for my birthday wasnt really the main goal it was just being around my friends . My feelings were mainly hurt because she complained about not having money basically the whole time but she’s still going to Vegas and was willing to not go to my birthday weekend.

On Saturday night we still decided to go to the city because my other friends offered to pay her portion of there hotel room. We had a good time but by the end of the night we were all drunk and I mentioned McDonald to her . She said no and I said why don’t you have money in your savings and it BLEW up. I know the timing was different not right to bring it up but I did and idk now everything just feels weird.

I also forgot to mention this isn’t the first time money has been an issue. We go to dinners twice a month and my friend paid for her after saying she didn’t have money but then went shopping with her family.
