Varenna vs Bellagio for 3 nights – which is more lively?

Hi! I’ll be in Lake Como from September 16–19 (3 nights) before heading back to Milan, and I’m trying to decide whether to stay in Varenna or Bellagio.

I don’t mind busy or touristy areas — I actually prefer being where things are happening. I like having lots of restaurants and cafes around, exploring during the day, and going out at night for dinner/drinks or just being somewhere that still has some atmosphere after dark.

I know Varenna is easier for getting to/from Milan by train, while staying in Bellagio means taking the ferry from Varenna. I don’t mind the extra travel since I’ll be there for three nights.

For anyone who has stayed in both, I’d love your thoughts:
- Which would you recommend as a base for 3 nights and why?
- Is Bellagio easy to get around and well connected by ferry?
- Which has more restaurants, things to do, and nightlife/evening atmosphere?
- What are the biggest differences between actually staying in Varenna vs Bellagio?

Would especially love to hear from people who have stayed overnight in either/both rather than just visited on a day trip. Thanks!

Razer Blade 16 2023 used for $1,000 vs Gigabyte Aero X16 2025 new for $1,400 — which would you pick?

I’m deciding between two 16” gaming laptops and would love feedback, especially from anyone who has owned either.

Option 1: Used Razer Blade 16 2023 — $1,000, no tax
i9-13950HX
RTX 4070 8GB, around 115W
32GB DDR5 RAM
1TB SSD
16” dual-mode mini-LED display: UHD+ 120Hz / FHD+ 240Hz
Premium build, better screen/speakers from what I’ve read
Used, so no real warranty/return safety
Concerned about heat, battery wear, fan noise, and hidden issues

Option 2: New Gigabyte Aero X16 2025 from Best Buy — $1,400 + tax
Ryzen AI 7 350
RTX 5060
32GB DDR5 RAM
1TB SSD
16” 2560x1600 IPS, 165Hz, 400 nits
New with warranty/return window
I have a $600 Best Buy gift card, so cash out of pocket is around $900-ish after tax
Seems lighter/newer with better battery life, but screen/build may not be as premium as the Razer

Main use: Dota, general browsing, maybe COD/Elden Ring/AAA games sometimes. I care about thermals, screen quality, speakers, battery life, build quality, and long-term reliability.

Would you take the better-used premium Razer for $1,000, or the safer new Aero because of the warranty and gift card?
