How to drain Investment pool late game

Recently finished my first run and in the late game my private queue was at 1000 buildings constantly with the investment pool still accumulating, I ended the game with 3-4 billion bucks sitting in it, bummer. (Laws were techno, prop and inter)

How would I go about making this money useful?

I know they cannot build more than a 1000 at a time so the only reasonable thing left in my mind is going communist / command eco so the cash chases consumption rather than construction but I couldn’t test it yet

Over all it’s a "lobster too buttery" kind of issue but I was wondering on how people get around this in their runs

Communism question

I was thinking about communism, the Soviet Union and communist countries in general, and the way Vicky handles communism. In real communist countries the industries/means of production, are absorbed by the state, which would represent command economy, instead of cooperative ownership. The government would be a single party state instead of council republic, this splits the populace in two classes, governing, and governed, further divided by the privileges of the governing. The will of the worker is also further removed from government than it would be in council republics which are -at least from what I’ve read- surprisingly Democratic. The PRC is kinda similar in some parts, the single party state, kinda command economy and no real clout for the worker outside from state efforts to keep them happy and not rebelling. Doesn’t this defeat the purpose of empowering the worker and achieving equality in a classless society if they keep rolling it back to authoritarian rule in a market dictated by career buerocrats.

Isn’t the flavor of communism Victoria offers us not more in the spirit of true communism by placing the means of production in the hands of the worker directly -not by proxy- and thus offering everyone the same privilege and in conjunction with anarchy/universal sufferage + Women’s sufferage everyone the same vote and rights

So I guess the question (and please do not hate me for this I’ve been debating this with myself for the past hour or so) is; has real communism ever been tried? Why did it fail? And can it ever work out in real life or is it something that can only exist in the rational and generalized world of Victoria 3

British aggressiveness in latest patch

Did a few achievements these days and I can’t help but notice the British ai being a pain to say the least. When I played USA they always sided with Mexico and I even had to fight them as Sweden when I tried to take Denmark 36/37. They are not really combat effective since they can’t get their troops to the theatre in a timely or orderly fashion but they always got something to say about fairly unimportant provinces, funnily enough the opium war never seems to happen lately and India implodes very often.

Does anyone else have these kinds of experiences? Non modded ofc

Need some Japan tips

I tried my hand at Japan after this new update -I mostly played majors before like Prussia Russia and America- so it’s quite a switch to what I’m used to.

I can manage the start fineish, I get of serfdom and cheese my way into interv. by like 40 depending on rng, i manage to finish the reforms with a year left on it and force open japan after the event and that’s the point where stuff kinda goes awry

I am around 100-200 construction by this point and try to transition to iron buildings as early as possible, switch my tools to iron tools to increase demand before starting to switch the sectors to iron build and then everything is either missing or way too expensive to stay debt free but I feel like wasting time investing into logging and stuff

Also when am I supposed to build universities to get this backwater off the ground, I feel like there is always something else to spend on?

The next problem is expansion (you can probably insert emperor speech bubble here) being next to china and Russia makes early moves pretty much impossible since I don’t have the tech to curbstomp either one of them and building a fleet to sail to Indonesia seems way to costly at least in the first like 20 years

And for my last point, gov admin seems like a trap, I get appointed be. And start building up to fix the deficit just to end up in /the/ paper shortage of the century and no matter how much I throw onto the market it won’t suffice
