Picked up a cheap project mauser this weekend. It has a mystery sporter barrel on it I may want to recover. It has no markings. Grooves calibered .303” diam but crown is rough so I think it’s actually .308”. However, .308, although it chambers, is tight and pushes the bullet into the casing when I try to chamber. Any suggestions on what this could be? I will cast it at some point but it’s not an option for me right now
I am an intermediate skier but plan on skiing a lot more in the coming seasons so hopefully advanced soon. I mostly only get to ski icey/groomed slopes here in Arizona. I’m trying to find a decent pair of that I can find used for not too expensive (sub $500 on the used market). Does this sub have any recommendations?
Recently acquired a thoroughly bubba’d sks. I plan on taking it off the deep end. Want to convert it to take ak mags. Was curious from people’s experience here how difficult and finnicky the conversion is, and if they think it’s worthwhile.

Got my form 1 cleared for a can finally. I know I can’t buy suppressor kits. If I buy a tube that’s threaded at both ends, is that ok or will they go after me for that? Another one I saw was a double threaded tube with an endcap but no thread adapter and no baffles would that be safe too or is that pushing it into ‘kit’ territory?
Took my car in for maintenance just before 100k miles. Mechanic says I need to replace the front control arm bushing due to a crack and the cost is just over $750. Before committing so much money, wanted second thoughts on the bushings state. Don’t notice anything weird while driving
